How can I buy a power cord for rival stainless steel electric fondue pot (Model FD325 S)

Hi, for the oval lid (SCVS600) for less than $2.00, buy two 3/4 " long stainless steel #8-32 round head (Phillips) screws with self-locking nuts. Using a 5/32" drill bit, drill a hole through the handle at each of the two locations in the handle where the original threaded inserts were located (they are probably out since that is where the handle probably broke). (NOTE: Drill the hole in the handle at the same angle that the original screw makes with the handle because of the curvature of the glass, so that the new screw head will still set flush against the glass.) Using the original inside washer from the original screw, re-assemble the handle onto the lid. The 3/4" screw will not extend out past the top of the self-locking nut - it will sit below about 1 - 2 threads - but that's OK. This sould never break again.

I actually have that very same crock pot and my dark green crock and solid glass top are in perfect condition, but the electrical cord is starting to tear and expose the wire. I think it's doing this because the cord isn't underneath the unit and is on the very back. Is there anyway to find a new electrical base?? I LOVE my crock pot, especially because it's the perfect size, nice and big for a pot roast. Does anybody want to sell their electrical base? or I'm wondering if should try and sell my dark green crock and glass lid? Is there anyway to buy another electrical base???

Hi ,,, replacement cords for counter top appliances can be found at most appliance or building supply stores. Try Home Depot, Ace, Lowes. Take the unit with you to make sure you are getting the correct cord.

If you know a woodworker, get him to turn a knob out of oak, then fasten it with a stainless steel screw and washer. I suggest threading the screw into the knob once before installing it onto the lid so you don't risk overtightening the screw and breaking the lid.

You say it's somewhat new - could it have been manufactured between 1999 and 2004? If so, check out www.rivalrecall.com for information about a safety recall due to breaking handles.

I am in need of a Rival Slow Cooker liner for model # 38501. If anyone knows where to buy a replacement 5 qt white liner, please respond.

a ceramic or clay pot is the only solution.steel is hopeless for casseroles
same as frying eggs in a steel frypan without the teflon coating
only true stainless steel is advisable
