It sounds like your Vizio TV may have a backlight issue, which can be caused by a problem with the LED strips or the backlight driver board.
To determine the cause of the problem, you will need to perform some troubleshooting. Here are a few steps you can try:
Make sure that all of the connections between the TV and the wall outlet are secure.
Check the TV's backlight setting and make sure it is set to the optimal level for your viewing environment.
If the TV has a local dimming feature, try turning it off to see if it makes a difference.
Check the TV's picture settings and make sure they are optimized for your viewing environment.
If these steps don't fix the problem, you may need to replace either the LED strips or the backlight driver board. To determine which component is faulty, you will need to perform some further troubleshooting or seek the assistance of a professional.
I assume when you say unhooking one of the ribbon connectors leaves half the screen white or black and the other has a picture, if you've replaced he tcon and it didn't fix it your going to find your panel is bad, a main board shouldn't cause your issue as long as unhooking one of the ribbon connectors gives half a picture
I hate to give you bad news but I have a feeling your screen is bad from it falling, you can try unhooking the flat cables that go to the Tcon and panel and reseat them along with the cable going from the Tcon to the main and see if that helps
For the older Vizio E43-C2, there is a Vizio App button on the remote. This button has a V symbol on it and is between the channel up/down and volume up/down buttons.
I hope this helps. You can find more information on the Vizio support pages for each TV. For the 2016 E43-D2 go to https://www.vizio.com/e43d2.html then click on the Support/Manuals tab. For the 2015 E43-C2, see https://support.vizio.com/s/article/E43-C2-Model-Information and scroll down.
Sounds like T'Con board fault. Check and replace it. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Press START/PAUSE and any one of the option buttons
simultaneously for at least two seconds: the LEDs first switch off,
and then display the flashing sequence corresponding to the
alarm condition.
Examples:
Alarm E43 (problems with the door safety interlock triac) will be displayed as follows:
• four flashes of the END OF CYCLE LED indicate the first digit E43;
• three flashes of the START/PAUSE LED indicate the second digit E43;
So, error code E55 as you specified does not exist. Any how, family error code 5 (first digit) means problem with motor. Error code could be E51,E52,E53 and E54.
Possible causes:
- faulty motor
- motor brushes (very often)
- faulty tachometer (integrated in the motor but is replaceable)
- faulty electronic (Motor power triac short-circuited or motor relay contacts sticking).
This could be a connector problem in ur screen, to check whether it is problem, try tp press slightly then harder by your thumb on top screen,if it went white and return back to work and son , then it is a connector and you have to replace it, I think it's not expensive, just cheap ones.
Good luck
you have damaged the screen and it will likely need replacement. there is one other possibility... you may have loosened a connector inside the radio... tap it gently with your finger to see if there are any changes in the display
