SOURCE: cant connect ps3 wireless to dlink router

The router should assign an IP address to your PS3 if it isn't manually configured. If you are connecting wirelessly make sure your security setting on your PS3 match your router. If the problem persists disable wireless security on your router and then try to connect with the PS3 with security disabled as well. Sometimes consoles have trouble connecting with WEP or WPA security encryption.

SOURCE: My Dual Shock 3 controller won't connect with the system

go into you accesory settings and change the controllers designation, change it to number 1, it will get changed from time to time cuz of drums or guitars being designated as no 1(especially mic's).

1. Press the tiny Reset Button on the back of the controller

2. Plug in the USB Connection wire

3. Restart Console

4. When loaded, Press the PS Button

My PS3 wireless controller works fine, except for the fact the it has a delayed reaction to every movement I make it do. If I move the joy-stick left 1.5 seconds later the same appears on the television....

It sounds to me like there is a noteable delay due to a combination of things: your Bluetooth wireless controler (primary reason), and the cable connection from your PS3 to your TV. Now, to determine what the problem is specifically, you'll need to check a few things:

1. Make sure your PS3 is updated to the latest software

2. Check to make sure your cable connections from your PS3 to your TV are firmly in place. I personally have noticed that I got delayed reactions when my HDMI cable was not firmly secured to my HD TV. Weird, but as soon as I unplugged and re-plugged in the cable at both the TV end and the PS3 end, it cleared things up for me. If that does NOT work (btw, this can also be the case if you use a composite or component set up too).

3. Check to make sure that your PS3 controller is fully charged. Controllers that are partially charged occasionally do demonstrate really weird results, like the delay you're talking about. So, make sure that your PS3 controller is fully charged.

4. If the controller is fully charged AND your PS3 to TV cable is plugged in properly, then try to plug the USB cable to connect your PS3 controller to your PS3. Sometimes, for reasons I don't know about yet, this could solve the delay problem.

Guitar hero world tour, Ps3, when the wireless reciever is plugged in the guitar shows two lights on the strum bar...the ps button works and the controller allows me to quit the game/shut down system etc...

It seems that the recent PS3 Firmware update (2.80) reassigns your controllers. In order to fix this (I just did it 20 minutes ago and all is fine) is:
Go to the XMB "Settings" Menu.
Open "Accessory Settings"
Using the controller you want to reassign, open "Reassign Controllers"
Scroll to the number you want that controller to be (1,2,3 or 4)
You are good to go!

Thanks to the Phone Help at Activision for this fix!

80010201 Error code and controllers won't connect

In the 60gig ps3 it was the CWI-001 board located under the sd mini sd/ cf / m pro board and above the usbs. I replaced mine and controllers, wired and wireless Internet work fine.
That fixed my problem I hope that this helps. Good luck
