How would we know that?

You should really contact Amazon customer service and check that issue with them.

Can I register an amazon acvount on someone elses device?

I would not advise it... But i am sure you can open an Amazon account on any device. As long as you DO NOT SAVE ANY PASSWORDS OR LOG IN NAMES,etc.
You would be letting that person use your account if you did. So....if you know what your doing.....go ahead.

My kindle was stolen. How do I prevent someone from buying books on my account? I have ordered another kindle, but it's not in yet.

I'm assuming you have got 'Buy with one-click' turned on then. Apart from that the thief would need your login password.

Log in to your Amazon account from another device which is connected to the Net, turn off one-click and change your password to your account.

I cant to make fire id but alreadt i have an amanzon account

Not quite sure what you need. Have you registered the Kindle yet? You can register by following these instructions
  1. From Home, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap My Account.
    1. Tap Register. If you already have an Amazon account: Enter your Amazon account information, and then tap Continue.
  3. If you have trouble, log on to Amazon.com using your computer not the kindle. Just below the search bar click help, then click device help. One the left column you will see Contact Us. Click that and fill in your info, ask for call back. They are usually quick with the call back and someone can talk you through getting the problem resolved.

We think someone has hacked our account on amazon and kindle. Have three books on kindle and we did not get them.we cannot get on our amazon acct, or buy on our kindle without paying for books.

On a computer, navigate to Amazon.com and on the black banner across the top of screen search for the words; "Hello. Sign in." followed by "Your Account" printed just underneath. Attempt to log in using your email address (or phone for mobile accounts) and password. If you succeed, then immediately navigate to your account settings and, just to be safe, change your password, and you should be all set.

If login fails even though you are positive that you have keyed in the correct information, then it is possible that someone has accessed your account and changed your password so as to lock you out of your own account.

If this happens you must immediately deactivate any credit card that you have registered to the hacked account, or the invader will be able to purchase goods at your expenses.

You should immediately call Amazon and inform them that your account has been hacked. They will probably be able to verify your identity by asking to answer security questions or other information known only to you (and them) given when you originally set up the account.

Do not delay in taking these steps.

I need to de register my kindle because I lost it in traveling.

This is from M. Francis Professor of Kindology on Amazons customer service forum

Standard advice for lost/stolen Kindles:

You want to deregister your device first and foremost to prevent someone from purchasing items with your account.

Immediately go to your 'Manage Your Kindle' page:
http://amazon.com/manageyourkindle

Scroll down the left-side menu and select 'Manage Your Devices'
Find the Kindle that is lost/stolen.
**BE SURE TO WRITE DOWN THE SERIAL NUMBER OF THE DEVICE, FOR FUTURE REFERENCE**
Then click 'Deregister'

** You will need that serial number when you contact Customer Support, and to identify your device from a Lost & Found, and also it will be needed if you file a police report or file an insurance claim to your homeowners or rental insurance policy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, contact Customer Service and report the loss/theft. Amazon cannot help you locate your Kindle, but they will use the serial number to block the device from being registered in the future by someone else. Do this soon, because if the person who might now have your Kindle already registered it to their own Amazon account, it cannot be blocked from registering at your request any longer.

If you find your Kindle later, contact Customer Service again to reverse the process. To contact CS, click the orange 'Contact Us' button on the right side of this page, or use this link:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/help/contact-us/kindle-help.html

Don't use the email option, but use the Phone option (if available from your location) or Chat option. By using the Phone option, after you send your phone number in, an Amazon Representative will call you back in a minute or two, sometimes sooner.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have Active Subscriptions:
You will also want to make sure that you cancel any active subscriptions. Canceling the subscription will ensure that you are no longer billed; you'll also receive a pro-rated refund for remaining issues you already paid for. You always have the option of subscribing at a later date.

Go to your 'Manage Your Kindle' page:
http://amazon.com/manageyourkindle

Then, scroll down the left-side menu and select 'Subscription Settings'
For each subscription you have, use the 'Actions' button to the right of the title and select 'Cancel Subscription'.

If you go to amazon.com and log in you can suspend that particular reader on your kindle account. When you get another reader then you can add it to the account.
