Try installing other anti-virus like NOD32 or karspersky. You can also try to do a system restore, this may or may not solve the problem though, also using the system restore may get rid of some application you have install prior to the date you will revert it to.
Or you can try this online virus scan
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
have them scan your system (its free),that way you'll know if your computer really has a virus or not.

The M90 has 2 fans (1 processor and 1 video card) http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/wsM90/en/sm/fans.htm#wp1000550
while the fans can be passing diags, the system could still be having a cooling issue. Some things you can do are:
If issue still occurs after all of the above, then replacement of the video card may be required

Either your motherboard has gone bad, or you fan AND cooling grid needs replacement. The grid is simply a series of metal bars, so to speak, which absorb heat to be passed out of your system with the cooling fan. The cooling fan has 2 speeds. If the system is not kicking in the higher speed on the fan, it's more than likely a bad motherboard. Also, make sure you keep your laptop plugged into the wall as much as possible. Going on battery alone does slow down the processor considerably to conserve the battery.
Best wishes.
