mine has the same problem for the 3rd time, each time Bissell have so far just replaced the motor. The motor will continue to increase in volume until it finally has enough and goes bang! The next problem now seems to be able to get a replacement motor other than sending the vacum back to Bissell...

My pump motor burnt out I need a part number for a replacement one. I have the little green bissel 1729-1. It is about 7 years old.

Hi there if u have already replaced the brush motor and the brushes stil aren't rotating, you wil need to also replace the circuit board that is located in the upper part of the machine after u take the 5 screws out the back, hope this helps, I repair bissells for a living so any problems email me, [email protected]

I am looking online for a replacement motor for my Bissell ProLite 3560-2 upright vacuum. I have found two different part numbers and do not know how to determine which is the correct one. 2146060 or...


The bissell website has a user manual http://www.bissell.com/images/UserGuides/prolite.pdf and it states the motor is warranteed as follows...Note the section pertaining to the motor... that may apply to you...

the motor as a cut out switch ,if the motor housing is full of dust , the motor will get hot and the switch will activate ,
