One light flashing means: The batteries need charging or there is a bad connection to the batteries. Check the connections to the batteries. If the connections are good, try charging the batteries.

SOURCE: have a harsh jerking movement while using

This is a common problem often caused by the potentiometer(pot) in the centre of the Wigwag (Accelerator.) This part takes a lot of “abuse” and the pot causes an intermittent electrical connection resulting in a very jerky ride. Try spraying a contact cleaner spray in the pot but most often the potentiometer will need to be replaced by a technician. Regards Chris…

SOURCE: How do I remove the chair from my Pride Mobility

There's a lever on the side of the chair that you disengage to unlock it. First, make sure the chair is in gear and power is off, then unplug the Joystick from the base; just follow the cable coming out of the joystick to the rear of the chair where it plugs in and rock it back and forth to unplug.
Unlock the seat with the lever, and turn the seat slightly to the left or right and lift up. Usually, it will come right off. If it's been a while since it's been removed, or if a heavier person has been bouncing atop it, it may need more coaxing. Try squirting some WD-40 at the base of the seat where the pole connects and let it run down into the shaft of the pole. Wiggle seat back and forth a bit and try lifting at the same time.

Now you can access the batteries by lifting up on the corners of the cover called the shroud. These are held on by Velcro strips so just pull up and they will give way. You will see the two batteries inside. Replace them with sealed, gel-acid deep-cycle batteried, about 32-34 amp-hour rating. Fully charge for two or three hours before using. On first uses, let the batteries discharge almost to the red zone before charging overnight. After a week, they will be well broken in. Good luck.

SOURCE: pride mobility Jet 3 Ultra Power Chair 7 flashing

a 7 Flashe code. There is a joystick fault. Make sure the joystick is in the center position and then power off and on again. Check all your couplings. make sure when turning on the unit you only mash the power button for 1 sec. 2-3 sec will put the unit in "Lock out mode".
This ierror will also be present if the joystick is off center when powered up. If you experience these symptoms, you must first make sure there is no physical damage to the joystick preventing it from returning to the center position. Then turn the power off and back on again (making sure the joystick is not depressed in any direction. If the joystick repeats this error, the controler much be replaced. [email protected]

Have a pride jet 3 wheelchair when the power button is pressed all the battery lights come on steady when u move the joystick u hear a single click and no movement

Sounds like a motor problem. Do you get a flash error code that you can post for a more definitive answer. With no current flash code, you would need to go through all the components, testing with a volt meter. There is a chance you have a bad main controller if there is no flash error code on the joystick. If you have access to a hand held programmer you can read the fault codes stored in the controller. By faulting out the chair you can see which fault code increases in number of times it occurs. Start with the obvious first like load testing the batteries. Move on to checking motor lead resistances (motor/brake checks) and continuity of connections between joystick and controller. You can check controller outputs at the connectors. The Pride Mobility website has a series of good, illustrated troubleshooting manuals. Hope this helps.

If the joystick turns completely off when you try to drive it means the batteries instantly are dropping voltage below the operating capabilities. I have also seen bad connections in the battery wiring harness cause the same thing.

If all lights are flashing excessive voltage has been applied to the controller system. 6 flashing lights on the 1133 indicates that the chair is being inhibited by the battery charger. Try unplugging the battery charger. Check you battery connections.

Assuming it is a P&G controller (it'll say PG Drives technology on the bottom of the joystick), two flashing lights is a left motor disconnect fault. Check the wiring from and to the left motor for tight connections at all junctions. Unplug and replug them, don't just wiggle test them. This should clear the fault.
