Would you tell me why you want to repair this water line? I'm not clear about the problem you are having. To prepare the refrigerator for service. You will need locate the shut off valve to the refrigerators water supply line. After the water is turned off. You can slowly and carefully pull the appliance away from the wall. If the water supply line to the refrigerator is copper tubing. You want to move the unit as little as possible. The more it is moved the more there is a chance of developing a leak. Depending on the installer, they may have used copper or nylon tubing. Copper is similar to metal in the respect that if the line is bent repeatedly. The material will weaken and could crack. This will not happen quickly. It's just a good practice to leave it alone and move it only when necessary. Please write back and explain where the unit is leaking and let me know if you are referring to the water supply line going to the refrigerator. If you suspect that the water line inside the door is leaking please tell me where. It is a common mistake that owners think their refrigerator has a damaged hose. In actuality the water control valve assembly is worn out and leaking. Feel free to write back with any questions and I'll do my best to help you figure this out. You don't want to waste your time pulling a door apart when the problem wasn't even there to begin with.

Cut off a piece of line and go to a good hardware store, they can show you how to fix it. Need a coupling, and a nut and ferrel. House water line goes on one end of coupling, nut and ferrel on the broken water line on fridge. A good hardware store will be able to show you how to fix.

Yes as I stated on other posts, go to an appliance shop and get a threaded connector. Mine cost about $7 and i had to do some minor adjustment cutting to the plastic guard at the bottom of fridge/freezer...so the new piece would not put too much pressure on the line. The white coupling connector on the line u will see has a red and blue washer conected on eitrher side of water line. To disconnect line ..just push in on top of washer and pull line. Cut the torn lines so u at least have a line that is clean and mostly straight, but dont cut TOO MUCH!! just the bare edge, about 1/8 " inch. Use some needle nose pliers ,real small ones.. to pull the line from bottom of door and apply connector. Put lines back on and do faceplate and check for leaks. Good luck!!

There is a small door under neath ice maker shelf (literally) w/ 2 small screws that keep it in place,or a button that can release ice maker on the rt. side of machine. Good luck!!

Please check the water inlet valve, it might be frozen or blocked with mineral deposit. Use a hair dryer to remove the blockage. Make sure the water inlet valve's screen is not blocked. If the issue persists, then the water inlet valve has gone bad, use a multimeter to test the water inlet valve's continuity. Use a multimeter to test the continuity. From what you are stating this is a dispenser refrigerator with 1ce/water through the door. This type refrigerator has a dual sided water inlet valve. It looks like the half that fills the icemaker may be bad or may have the power connector that came loose. This is the part on the back that the house water line connects to. It should 2 wires going to each of the 2 coils (total 4 wires). If wires are connected, I would say 1 coil is bad and the valve needs replaced. Since you already replaced the icemaker that rules that problem out.

No ice or water

Check to see if the plastic water line was bent, kinked, or under the wheels. Check for water flow from the water-out line when UNATTACHED from the refrigerator to see if the pressure is enough to pass through the Filter. (you said it was OK). Last inlet valve must open to the filter and ice maker.

Kinked the plastic water line tubing and created a leak at the junction where we connect to the copper tubing. replaced the connector junction. water came out of door as normal for a day. then later...

Kenmore has model numbers that look like this=> 123.1234567 Can you find your model number around the fresh food section door? Make sure the water control valve is opening when you press the dispense lever. Sometimes they sound like they open but they are either mechanically or electrically defective. You also could have another kink in the water line or a defective lever switch. This is just going to be a lot of things to check until we find the cause. I am here to answer any questions or if you have more comments that will help us find the problem. I have a Kenmore elite Model #795 7554 2501 MFg date 2005-01. The water container behind the left door is leaking I need a replacement. Can you help

in trying to locate this model # with sears data base it didn't come up. i don't know of any kenmore that has a water container behind the left door . left door being the freezer door .. the water container is located in the botttom of fresh food side in the back behind the crispers . if thers a leak in the freezer door i would think that it a water line that is carcked or come loose .. mm hope this helps .. pls reck your model # and in needed get back with me ..mm

Kenmore side-by-side not dispensing ice or water, the ice maker has been replaced, no water going into the tray. I cannot locate the water filter, does this model have one?

Don't know what is the model number of your fridge. 1.Need check electric water valve under the fridge. If that fridge made by GE (Kenmore just a Sears brand name and they use several others manufacturers for refrigeration), usually it's a frozen plastic water supply line inside freezer door. You could unplug fridge for 24 hours (you have to put food from freezer to other freezer).

Hi!!! You could have a plugged drain line. Open your freezer door and remove the bottom tray and look to see if you have ice on the bottom if you do then its a frozen drain line get a hair dryer and and apply heat to the bac evaporator fins and all the ice..sometimes also some sxs refrigerator model leak a small amount of water right after you use it..Good luckk..

I have a Kenmore model 106 9555710 SxS - no wate through door

check inside the bottom of the refrigerator for water, the water line goes thru the back of the refrigerator and it may have cracked and leaking inside instead of going to the dispenser.
if not then water is most likely frozen in the line going thru the back of the refrigerator. look behind the pans in the refrigerator and there should be a coil of clear plastic water line, this is the reservoir that chills the water for the dispenser. sometimes it will freeze up if the refrigerator is very cold.
