The beeping sound of the emachine desktop T3414 makes a long beeping sound for 4 seconds flat and pauses for 2 seconds and repeats the process. Hope this is a broader explanation of the problem. Thanks.

Open cpu cabinet.
Then refix RAM memory.
Pull processor fan and then processor remove dust from all parts and circuit.
Reattach both processor and its fan.
then check if still face same issue.
Then pull cmos cell from motherbord.
Change RAM memory slot module .
Remove pic cards from PCI slot.
Reattch ATX power connector from smps to motherbord.
Then check.
If still face same problem then your RAM has need to be replaced.

Let me know if you need more assistanse.
Thanks.

1)there is a mismatch ram , not a working ram ,or ram slot faulty.
2) go into bios see settings for temperature and voltage and rpm for fans.
one of them has triggered a beep alarm. usually its the temperature of processor

My hp prodesk 405 g1 mt keeps beeping 4 times in a row, pauses, then 4 times again. Repeats this process 4 times and wont boot with the power light blinking red. Help!!!

The beeping is a bios error code. Get the model of the motherboard and get manual to it . it should reference the beep codes to what the problem is.

THE RED LIGHT IS ON AND BEEPS EVERY MINUTE

What motherboard do you have? If you don't know, provice make and model of your system and maybe we can find out that way. Is it one long beep? Are there any other beeps and/or a sequence. A good place to start and alot of times, depending on your bios, 1 to 3 beeps means a problem with the RAM(memory). If you have more than 1 stick, you can pull them out, restart and if the beep is the same, you've probably found your culprit. You can then insert one at a time in one of your slots, then restart. If this works, you've found a good stick. If not, try another slot and restart, etc. Try all sticks in all slots.

Computer will not start

It all depends how many beeps there were.
From http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12253_div/12253_div.HTML
Diagnostic LED Explanation Table Number of 1-second red LED blinks followed by 2-second pause, then repeats:
2-processor thermal protection activated
3-processor not installed
4-power supply failure
5-memory error
6-video error
7-PCA failure (ROM detected failure prior to video)
8-invalid ROM, bootblock recover mode

I have only really come across 4 beeps = order new Power Supply or 5 Beeps = reseat the memory and hope it works

Beeping emachine desktop won't turn on

Hi shyguy,

Before I address your issue, I figured you ought to know:

Buying an emachine is one of the worst moves a consumer can make. Why? because despite the fact that they are cheap, they frequently have problems, which can take money out of your pocket. Not only that, but they can be a pain in the *** in general. The old saying "You get what you pay for" should certainly be followed to some degree when purchasing a computer.

Now that I got that out of the way, on to your problem. I have a feeling that your motherboard might be shot. Before I have you think that, I want you to see if you can open it up and check to make sure your RAM is seated in the slot properly. If that doesn't work, then I think your motherboard is most likely gone.

If you need any more assistance, I'd be glad to try and lend a hand. You can e-mail me at [email protected]

Good Luck.

When I go to turn on the computer, it just makes a beeping sound.

Beeping sound leting you something is wrong with some hardware. As for what,, listin to the beeps.. also depends on motherboard... here is a link http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml

But best way is to open up machine and make sure all the hardware is hooked up tight. If that does work look at the code list then go from there.

When I turn the hard drive on it beeps 6 times intermittently and doesnt boot up as normal. The monitor is switched on but there is no picture. I tried another monitor with my hard drive and that worked...

Unplug power from the machine for a period of 5-10 minutes.

Plug it back in and attempt to boot. Carefully notice if there are any beeps again, and listen for pauses in between. Dell beep codes go in a three pulse pattern I.E. 4-Slight Pause-4-Slight Pause-2-Pause/ and repeat.

After this, you may have to open your machine and assure that everything is well connected.

There is a chance however that a major system component has failed and needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps.

Emachine crash

Yes, with that beeping sound that you're hearing from your hard drive is a sign of a bad hard drive , that's also the reason why the computer wont even boot because the hard drive is already bad, the best thing that you can do here is to get a new hard drive..

Hope that helps..............
