Pump won't shut-ff

Hi Ron...
Check your float switch....sometimes they can get stuck to cause this problem of not shutting down after draining the orginal water.
Take the float switch and move it up and down...this may help to clear the stuck switch inside of the float

Saniflo not turning off after flushing

It could be a problem with the float switch that's bad, the micro switch may be stuck in the on position, or could be solids stuck at the float switch not allowing it to shut off. I suggest to open the unit and inspect the float switch.

Pump is stuck on how do i unstick the float

The float is usually visible at the base of the dishwasher near the drain sump. If this is the case then simply press the dome of the float assembly to check if it springs up. If not, the spring is faulty and you need to replace the float. Otherwise if the float springs up, then the switch underneath might be the problem. See

On the otherhand if the float dome is not visible in your dishwasher, then you may need to provide more information as to which float are you referring to. For example how did you conclude the drain pump being stuck is related to the float?

Dishes come out with food particles stuck all over them. Looks like there is debris stuck in the jets but cant remove top one to clean out.

Hi

If the water inlet valve is fine and it fills with water then the issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My Hotpoint dishwashers water stopped turning on. It has worked fine in the past but all of the sudden no water, just hot/dirty dishes.

check that your float valve is not stuck in the upper position. This will stop water from entering machine. If it is not stuck( a utensil may be stuck under the float valve) then the float valve relay switch may be the problem The float valve is in the bottom back usually under the lower rack of dishwasher

How do i find the float switch for a Hotpoing Aquarius FDW70

Open the DW. Look in the front right or left corner of the tub.
You will see a plastic dome.
The float switch is directly underneath the dome.
Remove the toe kick plate and located the float switch from the bottom.
Sometimes they get stuck.
Jiggle it then try the wash cycle.
If that does not work, replace the float switch.
