Ebay is one site that is frequently "phished"...
meaning that scammers will build a website or an e-mail that looks exactly like a bank, or Ebay, or whatever, and hoping that they'll trick you into giving them private information (like your credit card number).
The best protection for you is to make sure that, when you're on a site like Ebay, the address in the address bar (at the top of your browser) says, "https://" (such as, "https://www.ebay.com").
The "s" at the end of "http" means it's a secure site... almost impossible for scammers and "phishers" to counterfeit.
For now, your best recourse is to contact Ebay directly. You can access their Security and Protection division here
. (Yes, this is a secure "https" site!) They should be able to help you, and - if you are being scammed - they know how to deal with Deborah.
Good luck to you!
