SOURCE: Husqvarna chainsaw 440e - enough chain lube?

That seems low to me. Page 15 in your manual is the only oil discussion I found. Usually there is an oil pump adjustment reference somewhere. I didn't see one beyond return it for service on page 15. Are the chain and bar hot after cutting a while? I recommend you not get a longer bar without an oiler adjustment. I think the hand of the EPA has been here.

An IPL (exploded parts list) for a 440 can be found here:

There is no oiler adjuster listed. HTH

Might be a good idea to copy the IPL,

this sounds someting like the bar is worn out and now you have to tighten the chain so tight (to keep it on) that it's heating up and makiing things worse, or is auto chain lube not pumping oil up to chain ??? either way if you run long without chain lube your back to reason 1

Oil pump 266 xp

The pump or gasket could be bad. Make sure you use only bar and chain lube as this can also effect flow.

Automatic chain oiler on my Partner s 55 chain saw doesn't work

First check the lines to make sure they are clear of chips. Use only bar and chain lube. If this does not work, the pump may be bad and need replacing.

I have a new 455 rancher chainsaw husky 20inch bar chain keeps coming off new chain

You may have a bent bar, or you could be putting the chain on a little too loose. Perhaps the chain is not getting lube ?
Possible that the chain tentssioner and or adjustment is loosening up as you are using the unit. Other than that maybe a defective new blade ?

Oil is not lubing the chain on bar, what would be causing it? When using the chainsaw, the chainsaw siezes, and makes the engine run sluggish. The bar and chain we not is not getting oil. The oil...

Sounds like the ports on the bar are possibly clogged with debris or the oil lines going down to the bar are clogged. Check both of them to see if that might be the problem.

Ive just bought a husqvarna 34 husky is this the model number 34? its serial number is 016810 but i cannot find details of it anywhere an want a manual can you tell me mixture also its my first chainsaw,...

Get Chain lube for the chain oiler. Naturally, husqvarna recommends that you use "genuine husqvarna" oil for your mixture, I recommend a quality oil, doesn't have to be husky. Husqvarna recommends a 50:1 ratio, other manufacturers, of vertually all 2 cycle power equiptment use a 40:1 ratio. This mixture is slightly richer, but will not hurt your chainsaw. May produce a bit more smoke. Not sure what a 34 husky is...neither is Husqvarna, I visited the website and even tried to download a manual. Looked at every husky model, no 34.
