If it will let you remove it, should be just fine. Some apps are part of the root kit and even though not needed , still will not let you uninstall.

Swap it out and get Walmart to make sure the next one works properly and maybe someone can even advise you as to what they do to make it work right and then you can post that answer as a comment for others to know also.

Try google write uninstall Walmart and a procedure should come up.

Return the tablet to Walmart under terms of the warranty.

Two possibilities:
1.- Be sure the battery is charged. There has to be some indication that the tablet is being charged.
If you can turn on the table when plugged in to the charger, and it dies soon after unplugging it, the tablet's battery may need replacement.
2.- The other possibility is that the tablet is dead...

Return it to Walmart.
