I need to update my ipad from 9.3.5 to 10

If the hardware of the iPad will take the update, it will be offered to you. They will only update 2 full builds. In other words, if your iPad had iOS 7 on it when you got it, it will only go as far as iOS 9.

Go to Settings - General - Software Update. It will tell you what you already have and if you are not offered an update, then you have gone as far as you can go. My iPhone 7 is on iOS 11.2.1

update my ipad from 9 3 5 to 10 Google Search

Then scroll or swipe down to: iOS compatibility

You should see ...

  • iPad Pro12.9-inch
  • iPad Pro9.7-inch
  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad Air
  • iPad4th generation
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad mini 3
  • iPad mini 2

If your iPad model is not listed, then it cannot be updated beyond iOS 9.3.5.

Can't download IOS 6.0 to my IPad 2 .help

There are two ways to upgrade the iOS version of your iPad:
- via connecting the device to iTunes on a computer
- or directly from within the device, but only since iOS 5, it is possible to upgrade the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update)
just go to: settings - general - software update

Please post the solution. Why is there no "software update" on my IPad 2?

There are two ways to upgrade the iOS version of your iPad
- via connecting the device to iTunes on a computer

- or directly from within the device, but only since iOS 5, it is possible to upgrade the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update)
just go to: settings - general - software update
- so in your case try an update with a computer with iTunes installed:
- procedure with iTunes connected:
  • Connect your iOS device to your computer using an USB cable. Wait for iTunes to open and connect to your device.
  • Click on device button to the left of the iTunes Store button in the top right corner in iTunes.
  • Hold down on the option key (Mac) or the shift key (Windows) and click the "Check for Update" button in the Summary pane. Browse to the .ipsw file you downloaded and select it.
  • Do not disconnect your device until the update has finished.
  • If necessary, restore your device from the previous backup and sync with iTunes.

My iPad says i need to update to iOS 6 when I try to download on the app sore

- depends on the iPad model you have:
For the iPad first generation (A1219) before iOS 5 to update is only possible with connecting the device to iTunes on a computer. Plug it into your computer and open up itunes under devices click on your ipad and then click on check for update.
- but this model supports only iOS 5 !
- NO iOS 6/7/8 !
-----------------------------
for all other models:
There are two ways to update the iOS version of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch - via connecting the device to iTunes on a computer
- or directly from within the device, but only since iOS 5 it is possible to update the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update)
just go to: settings - general - software update

How to get on my iPad a 5.0 or a 6.0 ios

First Generation iPads can use iOS 5
- but iOS 6 / 7 / 8 need an iPad 2 or newer and are not compatibel with first gen. iPhone
-updates can be made in iTunes connected to a computer or under settings - general - software update
Upgrade iOS from within iOS device
(valid for iOS 5 and above)

Since iOS 5, it is possible to upgrade the iOS version without the need to connect the iOS device to a computer (over-the-air update). To upgrade to iOS 6/7/8, simply navigate to Settings > General > Software Update. The screenshot below demonstrates how to do so on an iPad, but this is also valid for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
