My ge fridge temp control has a display that reads 0000 and I can't adjust temperature
The cause is the digital display is not communicating with the motherboard. The plug connection between the door's digital display and the motherboard might have unplugged. The wire running from the motherboard runs below the fridge and connects via plug located along the bottom of the fridge below the freezer door, connecting to the wire running from the display to the bottom of the freezer door. Just reconnect it and that should reset the display.

Hi. Its either a bad motherboard or control board. I would check the control board for any obvious signs of damage to the board first. I've seen the control board go blank on the GE side by side and it turned out to be the motherboard. The motherboard is located behind a cover on the back of your refrigerator cabinet. You should have a new motherboard on hand at all times because they fail alot. Be sure to put a surge protector on your refrigerator. Good Luck, Mack

sounds like a bad bake ignitor(uneven heat, long cook times, long preheat times, perhaps even gas smell while cooking)

if you take the front kick plate off by pulling on it. once the front kick plate at the bottom of refrig. is off bend down and you will see 1 bolt head that looks bigger than the rest of them. 1 on each side of the refrig. now if you need to lower the refrig turn to the left. to raise turn to the right. this do it for you. thanks eddy

The keypad is "locked", hold down the button to remove this (usually "clear") for 5 seconds. Look closely at the buttons, one of them will have a picture of a padlock near it. That's the button that clears the "lock" condition. It's a safety feature to keep the kids from turning on the oven.
