What operating system are you using? are you connected to the same USB port on your PC? You can always try a different USB port. Did anything happen to your camera between downloads (dropped it, battery issues, etc.)?

I am not able to upload my pictures onto iphoto anymore. I was able to do it a couple weeks ago, but now nothing pops up for me to import my photos when I plug my camera into my computer.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

HOW CAN I UPLOAD PICTURES FROM MY DIGITAL CAMARA WITHOUT A SOFTWARE DISC?

Hi Amimbue 1985,there are a few ways to upload pictures without using a software disc.

Option1 :

Transfer your photos to your computer with a use of a USB cable provided with your camera.

Connect the USB cable to your camera and computer. Your PC will recognize it as an external storage and you can copy your pictures from it.

How to copy pictures:
1. Go to my computer
2.Select the drive for your camera and go to the folder where all your pictures are
3.Ctrl + A (to select all pictures)
4.Create a folder for your pictures on your local drive (or you may also paste it on any existing folder)
5.Ctrl + V to paste pictures on folders

Once you have a local copy on your computer you may then upload on any web applications that you wish, such as facebook or flicker etc.

Option 2:
You may also use Google's software called Picasa, it's free for downloading.

Please visit this link for the application:
http://www.google.com/picasa/

How to download Picasa

1. Download Picasa by visiting:
http://www.google.com/picasa/
2. Click " download Picasa "
3. Click save file once prompted and save it on your desktop for easy viewing.
(if you are using firefox, wait for it to download and just double click on it to run the application once done)
4.Run the picasa application on your desktop to install the software.
5. It is recommended to restart your computer after installation.
6.Plug the USB cable from your camera and computer and picasa will automatically get your pictures from your camera.

(you may now have the option to upload your pictures )

I hope this helps.

Once you have download and installed the application, it will automatically get the pictures on your camera once plugged in. You may upload it directly to picasa or any web application of your choice.

I attempted to upload my vacation pics on my computer Using the Camera to computer connection but when I try to download the pictures by pressing the cameras blue button nothing happens and the pictures...

Hello and welcome to FixYa

There are many reasons both software and hardware related why this problem could be happening but I have a cheap solution for you to be able to download your pictures.

Please go to a electronics store and buy a USB card reader. I bought one last week and it cost $0.5 so its cheap as dirt. Then simply remove the card from your camera , pop it into the reader and the pictures will appear on a drive like a flashdrive in your my computer folder.

This is a much better option than using the camera's cable as it is faster , safer , saves on your camera battery and you don't need to install any software or drivers.

Kind Regards
Andrea

How do I upload from Fuji FinePix software to facebook

What model of camera is it? If its a SLR like the one pictured, you might have shot the pictures in RAW format. You will need to convert them to a JPEG to upload to Facespace.

In most photo management programs you should have the ability to choose where you put the images when you connect the card for download to your PC. You should be able to right click on an image and there might be a 'Show me Location on Computer' option. This will tell you were it is located in your file structure.

Fuji FinePix vs. Vista. Worked a few weeks ago, not now

It's very hard to troubleshoot software problems online, and it likely is a software issue. But why put up with the headaches of bad software in the first place? Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:

I posted with the same problem. I was reading the software guide that came with my camera. I ended up going to the menu on the camera and setting the camera's communication. It worked! I can now upload my pictures to my computer again.
