I replaced transfer belt unit on Ricoh 3002. Is there a procedure to follow after this in so mode.

Press clear modes, then press1-0-7 and hold the clear/stop key. find counter reset and activate a reset of the fixing assembly.

In my experience, the fuser has always been the cause of the lines.

This is a transferbelt home position error.

Book says:
1. Turn the main switch off and on.
2. Reset the transfer belt unit.
3. Clean or replace the transfer belt
sensor.
4. Replace the transfer belt contact
motor.
5. Check the contact and release
mechanism of the transfer belt unit.

My guess is cleaning will solve it.
open the front door and sing don the green lever
locate the 2 screws at the top and bottom of the unit and remove them.
remove the cleaning unit 1 screw and a thmb lever slide the unit out (its on rails) wipevacum and/or blow clean the unit and re assemble
also clean the connector that it plugs to in the back of the machine
(q-tip)
if it still appears belt or unit will need to be replaced

Transfer belt mark detection error
• The main motor is operating; and
the lock signal is detected. → The
belt mark sensor signal does not
change for 120 milliseconds.
• Defective main motor
• Image transfer belt out of position
• Belt mark blurred or absent

I would remove the pcu unit (3 screws)and check the transfer assy belt mark and clean the sensor that reads the belt mark. Worst case senerio is replaceing the entire pcu unit.

You'll have to replace the transfer belt with a brand new one in order to clear that message. Installing a transfer belt from another machine won't clear it -- it must be a completely new unit.

swan this model doesnt have a transfer roller its a transfer belt and even if the trasfer belt is damage the problem it would cause is that the back of the paper would be dirty.

try a new transfer unit.

5. Replace the drum peripheral component
motor.
6. Replace the I/O control board.
7. Replace the main control board.

• H.P.: CN219-B2 or TP108 on the I/O
control board

Most of the time when I find this happening on a printer, not just Ricoh's it turns out to be the PCU (photo conductor unit). The color PCU is one unit and the black is a seperate unit. Hope this helps.
