Mitsubishi WS-A55 with a 2-3 error code

SD Tech - I have the error code 22 on my WS-A55. Power light comes on and then quickly shuts off. Looked at circuit board - there was greenish "gunk" on two of the electronic parts on the board in the center (behind the speaker grill) in the area labelled R5A62. Would you be so kind as to post repair instructions and the name of parts seller you mentioned above? Thanks!!!

Ws-65909 power light goes out after 3 seconds no sound or picture

Thats the code which normally indicates a convergence failure you can get the WS55909 - WS65909 Convergence repair kit which also has instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com its listed under the Mitsubishi repair kits catagory.

Mitsubishi 2-2-1 code

If you get the 2,2 error code that is short protection

If you get the 2,1 error code that is X-ray protection

The 2,2 is most common and the easier one to fix.

If in doubt--unplug set and plug back in and try to turn on, when power light goes out do the self check again (unplug clears the error codes)

let me know actual code found and I will help---hope it is 2,2.

The t.v will not stay on after being on for about 5 seconds.

do the self check model indicated has.

when power light comes on and then goes off: On front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons in at same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both buttons.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

This will indicate what kind of problem set has.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

I have ws-65909 65 in TV , The power went out and now the timer light is blinking and i can not reset it.

Unplug it for 2-3 hrs. then when you turn it back on again, be sure to reset the sleep timer to "off".

My 65 inch projection TV turns off within a few seconds when I turn it on. Why? No pictures or sound.

If power light does come on and a few seconds later it goes off---do the self check that the WS65909 MITSUBISHI should have:

On the front of the set press and hold both the MENU and INPUT(OR DEVICE) BOTH FOR 5 SECONDS AND THEN RELEASE BOTH BUTTONS.

Power light should blink a two digit code--error code---for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks.

Let me know what code you get----it will repeat it several times---and I will tell you what it means.

When I power up the TV, I hear a click and the green light turns on, but seconds later, it clicks off.

try self check==when it shuts off press and hold both menu and input buttons on the front of the set for 5 seconds and release both====power light should blink a two digit code===most common is 2 blinks and then 2 blinks, let me know error code and I will tell you what it means====it should repeat the code 10 times

Replace Both of your STK ICs they are big black ICs will have # on them STK392-570? Call Mats for Parts 1-800-628-1118

Will not stay on., Automatically turns off.

Try pressing in both the menu and device/input buttons in together on the front of the set and hold for 5 seconds to see if the led will blink a two digit error code such as 2 blinks then a pause then two more blinks followed by a pause which would indicate a 22 error. Then let me know what the blink code was if any.

Two blink code on this set means Usually one of the two pico fuses that protect the STK-393-110 CONVERGENCE IC is blown--the fuses will need to be tested and the chip and them replaced--

If you have enough skill I have step by step start to finish instructions for this repair in this set---set detects one of the voltages to the Chip is not there and shuts down instantly. I have photos of the chip, fuses and protect resistors this set uses also.

If you want the instructions for free give me a email and I will send them to you for free--if you are able to do this repair yourself you will save a lot of money--you can buy the chip on Ebay for about 14 dollars plus shipping and the same seller sells the pico fuses..............

If you want to attempt this give me a vote here--If you are not able to do it yourself I have suggestions for you about getting the set fixed--I have done hundreds of these sets!

Took out main circut panel took to TV Repair for Total cost of $275,now TV works fine.
