Sounds like you need to recalibrate the screen. This can be done by following the steps below:

To Calibrate the Touch Screen on a zūmo®:
1. Turn the unit Off and make sure it is not attached to any outside power source.
2. Power the unit On, continue to hold the Power button for 1 minute. 3. A screen will display that says, Press dot in the lower left corner. 4. Release the Power button and touch the sequence of dots until your unit says Calibration complete.

Try recalibrating the display. Turn off the Nuvi. Place your finger on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and hold it there while pushing down on the power button to turn the unit on. Release the power button when the Garmin logo appears. Continue to press on the upper left-hand corner of the screen until you see the calibration screen.

Press all of the dots as they are presented. Once completed the Nuvi will display Calibration Complete

This will recalibrate your touchscreen to the LCD display. If this doesn't resolves your problem. then your touchscreen may be defective.

Garmin 2720 touch the (s) and the (T) responds

You need to recalibrate the touchscreen. Try this: Turn off the Nuvi. Place your finger on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and then push down on the power button to turn the unit on. Release the power button when the Garmin logo appears. Continue to press on the upper left-hand corner of the screen until you see the calibration screen.

Go through the entire procedure of pressing each dot as it appears on the screen.

Once completed the Nuvi will display Calibration Complete This will recalibrate your touchscreen to the LCD display.

Touchscreen on a Garmin nuvi 1350 doesn't work. How do I fix this.

Try recalibrating it using the following method:

Nuvi 11xx, 12xx, 13xx, 14xx, 24xx, 25xx Series: Turn off the Nuvi. Place your finger on the upper left-hand corner of the screen and then push down on the power button to turn the unit on. Release the power button when the Garmin logo appears. Continue to press on the upper left-hand corner of the screen until you see the calibration screen. Press all of the prompted dots.

Once completed the Nuvi will display Calibration Complete

This will recalibrate your touchscreen to the LCD display.

If this doesn't resolves your problem. then your touchscreen may be defective and may need to be replaced.

Calibrating the Screen:

1. Turn off the nüvi.
2. Hold the upper-left comer of the screen white turning on the nüvi
3. Release the power key when the Garmin screen appears.
4. Continue to hold the upper-left corner of the touch screen for 30 seconds until a white screen with "Press dot" appears.

My Garmin GPS 498 stopped locating sattelites. How can I fix it?

Power off the Garmin unit. Press on continuously the upper top left corner of screen and then power on the unit by pressing once on the Power button. You should be prompted to clear all user data, or asked if do you really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press "Yes" to reset (warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding) or enter maintenance mode. I hope this helps. Good luck

In order to calibrate the screen on the Nuvi 1260T, you need to follow these few simple steps.

- Turn off the device
- Hold the upper-left corner of the screen while turning on the device
- Release the power button when the Garmin screen appears
- Continue to hold the upper-left corner of the touch screen for 30 seconds until a white screen with "Press dot" appears.

This should allow you to calibrate the screen. I hope this helps!

My touch screen will not function. It seems to start okay but the touch screen wont work from that point. I have reset. Garmin NUVI

Turn off the device.
Press and hold the upper-left corner of the screen and turn the power on.
Keep holding the screen and release the power button when the screen is on. Keep holding the screen for next 30 secs and u will see a "press button" on the screen.

at that point release the screen from upper-left corner and touch the press black point on the screen to calibarate it.

should be fine after that.

Won't pick up satellites

It fixed my garmin Nuvi 660:
With the unit off press firmly on the upper left hand corner of the screen with the tip of your finger.

2. Press the power button. When you see the screen light up let go of the power button but continue to press on the upper left hand corner of the screen until you receive the message "Do You Really Want to Start Up In Maintenance Mode?"

3. Say Yes and then select the third Option "Clear All User Data" and then say Yes.
4. The unit will then start up and ask you to set some preferences.

5. Once the unit is on the Main Menu please sit it in a safe place outside with a clear view of the sky for about 10 minutes and let it lock on to the satellites.
