SOURCE: Faulty Firmware upgrade

you have to put the image file on it and then when you turn it on it should automatically fix the problem. I had the same problem but i did this and it worked like a charm...

SOURCE: I have a samsung tv

I have only done this once with a tv, but the procedure was to format the thumb drive, and copy the file to the thumb drive. If there is more than just the firmware file on the thumb drive, the upgrade will not work. Try formatting the thumb drive and starting over.

No. The differences between SD and SDHC goes beyond what firmware can change. It's possible to design a device to use both SD and SDHC cards, but a device that was only designed for SD cards cannot use SDHC cards without hardware changes.

How do I prevent my Samsung ln46C600F3FXZA from locking up?

It might be due to an older firmware version. Maybe contact Samsung and see if there is a new firmware upgrade. Many times these little updates make it all right again.

Samsung LNT4065 started flashing 2 weeks ago...unplugged to reset 2hrs later back to normal...made a call to Samsung about this with customer service sent email with firmware to download...

I'd say what you really needed in the first place is this:

As to why it went dead...I think (and you should pray) that it's because the original problem just showed up again.

The original problem being the power board not functioning right and NOT what Samsung told you.

Chances are I am wrong, of course.

But I'd bet my lunch over anything any large company service rep reads you from a book.

I'm planning to upgrade the firmware in my HPR5500 XR to version 2.06. The problem is I need to know the rev number of the current firmware in it. How can I determine that?

There's really only 2 possibilities here, older than or newer than 2.02. The upgrades are as follows:

For version 2.02 and above run the following batch file:
Flash_5125_6K_from_v0202_or_v0204_to_v0206.bat For version 2.00 or older run the following batch file

I would try the newer one first and if it fails, then use the older one. (logic being, the newer one will check the revision, and if it's too old, won't do the upgrade)

Once you have successfully upgraded to 2.06 I highly recommend upgrading to 2.08 (you must do the 2.06 upgrade first though!)

Hye,first of all sorry for my english.I have Samsung LEDTV LCD UE46C8000XP,and I download a newest software from site ( T-VALDEUC-3001.1 ) and tell now I have a problem with 3D movies! Can I...

You can't I'm afraid. There is no mechanism for reverting to older versions of the firmware and this upgrade (3001.1) destroys your TV. I have phoned and e-mail samsung and their only resolution to this is "have a new moterboard fitted".

Unfortunatley if you search the AV Forums on the web you will see thousands of people have fallen into this trap and Samsang dont seem to care. Try contacting them directly through

Anyone else reading this should avoid purchasing Samung products and CERTAINLY don't upgrade the firmware if you already have one. Unfortunately Samsung dont seem to understand the concept of customer care.

Sorry dj_mrcina, this probably isn't what you want ot hear but your only options are: hope they release a patch with a version of 3001.2 or above : get a new motherboard fitted (Samsung will pay for this is you call them) : Stop watching 3D.

I have a sharp bd-hp21u model blu-ray disc player. I am trying to use a brand new blu-ray disc. However, it will only play for 17 seconds and goes blank. What shd I do? It will play regualr dvd's.

Verify version of the firmware, if it is older then PN9062300, you will have to upgrade it. Newer version of the firmware can be found here. For instruction on upgrade procedure refer to the owner's manual.

Reverse Firmware Upgrade

There are two different print engines used in the CLP-300. One for 2006, and a different one starting in 2007. I have the older 2006 printer, and the current firmware is only for the new 2007+ print engine.

I talked to Samsung support here in Korea and fixed the problem. They sent me to their special tech support website at (only in Korean) and I was able to download an older version of the firmware which restored my printing ability.

The latest version of firmware that worked with my printer was found in this post:

Download the two files at the top, then extract the archive. Drag-n-drop the correct firmware file onto "usblist2.exe" and the printer will be flashed with the firmware (must be connected via USB if you're using the CLP-300N model).

Dell kvm switch

I've had that happen when I've added some newer rev SIPs. The newer ones come with a notice to load the 2161DS with versions 2.0.13 or newer firmware; by unplugging the new SIPs and leaving just the older ones (and I'm at a loss as to the exact revisions) I got back the OSCAR prompts. Plug the SIPs back in one at a time, and they would display, but once the session timed out, the key sequence would do nothing once again. Don't know if this is what you have, but I do know that certain SIPs can interact with your firmware to cause this symptom - my bigger problem now, is that when I try to update with the newer firmware (d2_0_13_english.fl) I get a message: "Unable to upgrade the firmware. Reason: Incompatible file."
