I have a Hoover SpinScrub SteamVac and it's leaking water out of the attachment hose spray nozzle. Even after I release the button that causes it to spray, it continues leaking a steady stream.

I have tried soaking the white nozzle part in hot water and have sprayed hot water out of it to try to clean it out, but it's still happening.

SOURCE: Hoover Steamvac hose won't spray water

SOLUTION#1 If the attachment wont spray water, the white plastic nozzle tip may be clogged. Take the brush attachment off, remove the two screws from the gray retaining cover (BE CAREFUL THE WHITE TIP UNDER THE BLACK PLASTIC TRIGGER MECHANISM IS SPRING LOADED and WILL GO FLYING). The trigger mechanism can be taken apart by lifting the black part off (may have to slide it back slightly), remove the spring from the white plastic valve insert, then take a flat screw driver and carefully pry the two white pieces apart and blow out both ends. You may have to find a hair size piece of wire to push threw it to clear it. The whole process is really simple once you take it apart and see how it works. Putting it together is in reverse order. The white piece will only go in to the black part one way and with the spring on you need to push it through the hole and the trigger part hooks on, slide it back on to the hose, then while holding it all, and put the gray retaining cover back on. Sounds more difficult than it really is. If your not mechanically inclined take some pictures as your taking it apart to refer to.
Solution#2 If the nozzle and trigger are clear, with the trigger assembly off the hose, plug the hose into the shampooer and turn it on (if the hose inside the suction hose is clear you should start seeing water flowing out the hose. If not run a piece of wire through that hose to unclog it. If its still not flowing then the Pump on the unit needs to be replaced.
Solution #3Cost Around $20 with shipping online. Google your make and model, and upholstery attachemnt pump. Mine was called AP4561692 (43582018) PUMP ASSM, from http://www.appliancepartspros.com/. (there real good about the live chat and helping you find the part). There are Youtube videos on taking apart the shampooer, which is pretty easy. The one place that might give you problems after you get down to taking the pump off, there is only one screw holding but there is on the bottom side of the pump a black bump that clips in to the base of the shampooer and you need to stick a screw driver from the bottom up and pry the base one way and pull the pump the other to unhook it.

Hoover max extract leaks from end of upholstery hose

Hello! The nozzle/valve assembly, the white piece at the end of the hose that releases the solution may be clogged with build-up residue. Try soaking the trigger end in warm water for a few hours. If this does not help, the nozzle/valve assembly may need to be replaced. Order the nozzle/valve assembly by following this link. Search Results or order the complete hose assembly by following this link. Search Results

Hope this helps!

I have a Hoover steam vac spin scrub and with the attachment the water sprays out continuously reagardless if I press the button.

Just had this problem. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to tug up on the white nozzle at the end of the attachment. It should slide up about 1/4 of an inch and then you should be good to go. Be careful not to snap the plastic.

Have a hoover model F5914-900 it wont spray anything out the hose attachment. The line isn't clogged any ideas?

Yes, one thing to try: With the hose attached, place your hand over the suction opening at the pick-up end of the hose. Then pull the trigger. The pump is suction driven, and if there is air in the water line in the hose, that is known to allow th hose to prime in about 10 to 15 seconds.

Hoover Steamvac Dual V F7412-900-One Day old, Leaking!

Maybe ...try this ...press the handle release button and lay the handle down to the floor, completely open the unit. There are two 3/4" grayish hoses easily visible at the base, that are parallel to each other. Make sure the hose on the right (if you are standing behind the handle & looking toward the front of the unit is firmly attached to it's little coresponding nozzle. The nozzle is mostly hidden and It's a bit hard to get a good grip on it if your fingers are big. It doesn't take much to knock it loose/apart.) This solved my leakage. Good luck!

Leaking from bottom

It is the steamvac pump that is bad. When you fill up the tank with solutions, even though it is not running the solution leaks out, and when you turn it on it sprays up and out the sides etc. Also the attachment doen't work either, no solutions comes out. Apparently the float sticks in this. My husband fixed it once, and now he can't, need a new part. Options are take it to a hoover service dealer, or I found 2 place online that sell the part. One is http://buyitnow64.stores.yahoo.net/hostrepufor5.html and the other is http://www.sweeper-city.com/ho5brstpu.html, this site if you look at different size pumps have a description of the problem: "If your Hoover Steam Vac is leaking or water will not come out of the attachment hose, then this is the part that you probably need !!!
This part is for F5914-900 model. Hope this helps

The attachment to clean furniture will not spray out water this is the first time we have used this just out of box. Also the detergent will not mix with the water

If you can see the cleaning fluid at the nozzel yet the it does not spray than the nozzles are clogged with dried soap. You can soak the the sprayer in a small bucket over night with a cleaning solution like CLR also used to break up hard water stains, dried soap & cloged shower heads. http://www.drugstore.com/qxp81915_333181_sespider/clr/cal__rust__lime_remover.htm
Here is a parts site for your Hoover.
