Usually just means that certain button that does both functions needs replacing which is usually a simple fix
Start simple. Check for the basic things that will not let the dryer run. Broken door switch. A loose wire on the door switch...those kinds of things. The same would apply to the start button. R

....Ok, if not, you can also check you have power getting past the main fuze/relay to the motor.

SOURCE: dryer doesn't start
Check door strikes, door switch and belt. Dryer won't work if the belt is broken or it doesn't sense the door closed.
SOURCE: The dryer has '31' showing
Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly 01- Thermistor / If temperature> 200 degrees / Short Sensed for 2 minutes. Check for: - Clogged lint screen. - Restricted vent system. Check for: - Loose or open wire terminals in Door Sense circuit. This check you would read from "N" Center terminal of the power cord terminal block to Pin 3 of Conn BB2 on the main control board. (Door Closed) You must read resistance or the door switch has failed. These are the tests I would have to do if you called for service. If neither of the above show failures... respond here and we will see what we can sort out via the service manual. Thanks for choosing FixYa, Kelly
The service manual for this dryer is 16023110
From reading the manual there are 2 errors 3 and 1. Error 1 is a thermistor short sensed.
- Failed thermistor.
Make sure the unit is completely unplugged to do the following steps.
-----Inside the control panel the thermistor wiring is connected to J4 pins 1 and 2
The thermistor should read 10,000 ohms at 70 deg F and 1094 ohms at 150F
03 = Door Circuit Failure

Try resetting the computer like a cars e.c.m. by turning the dryer on and plugging it from the outlet. It worked for me once w our new Malta front loaders
I would contact the dealer or Frigidaire (GE). Also, check your owner's manual's troubleshooting section.
WAKE THE WASHER BY PRESSING ANY BUTTON.
WAIT 5 SECONDS.
PRESS AND HOLD THE START AND PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS
SIMULTANEOUSLY.
ALL LED'S WILL GO BLANK AND AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE CONTROL
WILL SIGNAL THE STORED CODE USING AUDIBLE BEEPS AND BLINKING LED'S. THE CONTROL
WILL REPEATEDLY SIGNAL THE CODE, AS LONG AS THE START AND PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS
ARE PRESSED. A TWO-SECOND PAUSE BETWEEN REPEATS AFFORDS YOU THE ABILITY TO MAKE
ACCURATE COUNTS TO IDENTIFY THE CORRECT ERROR CODES.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: ON A SMALL NUMBER OF WASHERS WITH
SERIAL
NUMBER PREFIX XC4, IF THE PREVIOUS PROCEDURE DOES NOT PREFORM
AS
SPECIFIED, FOLLOW THE OPTION BELOW:
* FOLLOW ALL PREVIOUS STEPS BUT INSTEAD OF PRESSING START AND
PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS, PRESS AND HOLD OPTIONS AND PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTONS."
*THE CONTROL WILL PAUSE FOR 2 SECONDS, THEN REPEAT THE CODE AS
LONG AS THE TWO BUTTONS ARE PRESSED AND HELD."
NOTE: A LETTER APPEARING IN THE CODE STANDS FOR A NUMBER HIGHER
THAN NINE: A=10 B=11 C=12
D=13 E=14 F=15
"
"EXAMPLE CODE F1: THE FIRST
DIGIT WOULD BE 15 AND THE SECOND WOULD BE 1. IF THIS CODE WOULD APPEAR ON A
WASHER IN THE GOOD MODEL LINE, THE FIVE INDICATOR LIGHTS WOULD BLINK FIFTEEN
TIMES AND THE START INDICATOR LIGHT WOULD
