My Panasonic TH58PX600U Plasma TV clicks sometimes when it is turned off. It is the same clicking sound that occurs when I power it up. Panasonic has not responded to my question about this. Is it possible that the electronics are powering up in the background to check TVGOS listings or that the screen dimmer function is reacting to changes in room lighting? It seems to occur mostly in the afternoon. The power outlet is protected by a surge suppressor so I do not think that the clicking is caused by a power fluctuation. The clicking is not causing a problem that I know of but I was just wondering if this is normal. Any Panasonic Experts know of this or have a similar experience? Thanks.

it could have over heated you can try to reset it first unplug it for about five minutes and try to turn it on if that dont work the remote might have a set button try holding that down until the red light flashes twice, then turn it on if not then hold the power button down on the set for a good five seconds to see if that resets it. if none of that works you will have to go to panasonic .com for the reset instructions.with the red light blinking the power supply is most likely good you just need to reset i.

I had this same exact issue. Panasonic sent a repair tech to my house since I was still under warranty. The tech was able to fix me up in about 10 minutes. He replaced the "brain" or A-board and now I'm back in business. This is NOT a power supply issue. The brain is the circuit board that has all the inputs attached to it (component, hdmi, etc...).
hope this helps!
