This could be a cycle timer fault, especially because it pulses after the cycle indicates complete.

If the water has not completely emptied, this wont allow the door to open. Check by lowering the outlet hose into a bowl. If a fair amount of water comes the problem is likely to be a pump blockage

SOURCE: Cycle finished but door won't unlock, please help

normally, front loading machines have this bypass cables in case this things happens, if there is a small opening at the front to acces the drain filter, open it up then look for a small plastic pc with a ring at the end. this is the pull release cable of the door lock. pull it downwards and the door will be released.

if you do not have the small opening to access the drain filter, you can tilt the machine to its back, ( be carefull, its very heavy) then reach for the plastic ring underneath to pull to release the door lock.

SOURCE: Door won't open

Usual reason for this is not emptied correctly. The filter on this model is in an awkward place so try lowering drain hose into a bowl to check if water still in.

Oko 72630. Why is it stuck on rinse cycle?

Could be several reasons:
- Selected the "Night cycle" program (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: too much noise in the spin cycle)
- Set to the "Rinse hold" (means standing with the drum full of water, reason: wrinkles on the clothes)

According to your description I think that this is not a failure otherwise error E20 will be appears on display.

Once the washing programme has come to an end, END illuminates on the programme progress display.
If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes.
1. After a rinse hold, the water must first be pumped out:
- Either press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun according to the completed programme;
After the START/PAUSE button is pressed again, the spin speed can still also be changed during spinning), or
- Turn the programme selector to PUMP OUT and press the START/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out without spinning),or
- Turn the programme selector to SPIN or SHORT SPIN and press theSTART/PAUSE button (the water is pumped out and the washing is spun or gently spun).
At the end of this programme step, the END indicator will illuminate.
2. Open the door.
As soon as the DOOR indicator lights up green, the door can be opened.

I can't open my washing machine please help

It locks during certain cycles. Try turning the selector switch to end of cycle and try opening. If it's stopped mid cycle, try unplugging it for a minute or two and plug it back in.

I have towels in the machine and the cycle stops at spin. How do I open (unlock) the door to get the towels out as I think they are imbalancing the machine.

This is a common problem, often associated with the machine aborting due to an unbalanced load. You will almost certainly find that unplugging from the mains (Not just powering off on the button, as some door locks have a sneak circuit, even when the power is turned off at the button) and leaving the machine undisturbed for a full 20 minutes will allow a reset, the door lock will disengage and all will be well when you power back up.
Additionally, on older machines with analog program selectors, turn the selector to an end of program setting before you power it off.

The front loader door won't open after the cycle what can I do

1. If it is an old machine with a mechanicvcal selector, make sure the selector is set to the end of a program.

2. Unplug the macine from the mains and leave 20 minutes. That will ensure it has reset. You should be able to open the door.

Whirlpool duet washer, door locked light on door open no other lights on unable to set control

The control can be locked to keep the buttons from activating during external cleaning or to help from small children starting the machine.

To activate or deactivate press and hold the "end of cycle signal" button for 3 seconds.

Turning the dial to any wash cycle clicks 3 times and end button flashes, won't wash at all.

You have not indicated a make and model, but this sounds like the door lock is faulty.
To test this theory, leave the door completely open and start a cycle, the w/m should have the same clicks and flashes, which more than likely is it telling you that you are trying to start a cycle with the door open. The w/m can not differentiate between a faulty door interlock and the door not being closed.
If nothing else this should give you a starting point for a diagnosis.
If you need to repost or comment please included the make and model number, on most machines this will be on the inner door frame.
Best of luck.

Won't spin

Close the door firmly and make sure the machine is turned on. Press and hold the Chime and Extra Rinse keys until the control beeps to enter Service Mode. All indicator lights will turn off except the "Door Lock' indicator signifying the door is locked.

Press the Rinse & Spin key then rotate the cycle selector knob in either direction to display the most recent error codes if there's any. Press and hold the cycle selector to display the number of cycles since the error occurred. List down at least five most recent codes and post it here for us to determine what the problem could be. Press and hold the Delay and Chime keys for three seconds to clear the list. Press the Rinse & Spin key again to exit diagnostic codes list.

Press the Spin Only key while in the Service Mode to begin the Board Input Test. Set the rotary cycle selector to Super Wash then press it to display the position of the door switch. "OP" will be displayed if the door switch is open or "CL" if it is close. Replace the door lock/switch assembly (part #34001265) when "OP" is displayed even the door is close. Press the Spin Only key again to exit the Board Input Test.

Press the Spin Speed key while in the Service Mode to begin the Board Output Test. If water is present in the tub, set the rotary cycle selector to Quick Wash then press it to turn on the drain pump and drain the water. Press the rotary cycle selector again when the water is fully drained to turn off the drain pump.

Press the Delay button to turn on the motor and the Delay indicator light. The machine should tumble clockwise then counterclockwise with 5 second durations each and 2 second intervals. Press the Spin Speed key again to exit the Board Output Test.

Press Off or press and hold Chime and Extra Rinse keys for three seconds to exit Service Mode. Unplugging the washer will also exit Service Mode.

Perform the tests above and let us know the results for us to determine the cause of the problem or the necessary action to undertake and give you the specific and detailed instructions on how to fix it.
