Orange light stays on...

I bought what I knew to be a faulty ds (sounded like a dead battery) for the son who didn't have one 'cause I couldn't afford a 'working' one. The light is permanently orange. I've tried swapping the batteries, but the faulty one doesn't behave the same way - no little noises, nothing. So it's NOT the battery.

Can anyone recommend anything else I can do to try and get it to work?

You need to bridge the f2 fuse. Google search : Nintendo DS Lite : Repair a broken console (blown fuse)

DS charging..light stays orange...

It could mean that the Motherboard (Main Circuit) could be damaged or could be a fuse problem as you may have said. Although it actually might be the battery, there's one way to find out, if your friend has a DS Lite, ask them if you could borrow your battery for 2 seconds and put their battery in yours to see if it is the battery, if the same thing happens, its the Motherboard (Main Circuit)

When charging DS lite the light stays orange

The issue is not with the fuses or with the battery. That end is working properly if the light stays a constant orange. The issue is with the other end, how the system powers on. Check the power slider (on mother board) or the L2 inductor (located below the slider). Chances are the tab on the slider has broken off or the L2 slider broke off from the motherboard.

My son has a DS lite. It was working fine and now

possibly fuses have blown on the logic board, but it sounds like it needs a new one board.

Nintendo DS won't power-up

It sounds like a faulty battery. As it is under 1 year old, it is still under warranty. Return it to the origional place of purcase, who will either fix or replace it.

We think a neighbor girl spilled liquid on/in my son's DS Lite. It now won't power on and the orange light will stay on for only a minute or two when we attempt to charge the unit. The battery is good......

If the DS was turned on when the liquid was spilled on it I don't think there is much hope to be honest:(

If it's under warrenty send it back otherwise you might try taking it apart and use a hair dryer to dry it off... that's a long shot though!

Ds lite green light is on but both screens are black and no sound

For GBA games the green light is meant to stay on. The orange light will stay on as long as its recharging. It will turn off when its fully recharged or when you unplug it

Power problems with DS Lite

Really sounds like a dead battery. The DS will not work if the battery is bad even when it's plugged in. You get the quick flash of the power light and that's it.

Nintendo DS Won't turn on

You could actually have a couple of different problems there are little wires that go up to the top screen that break and or come loose that can cause this and there is also a fuse in the unit on the board that can cause it.
