Yahoo messenger erroe 81003002

Hello,

This error code indicates a sign in problem with Yahoo messenger. Try some of the following tips to resolve the issue.

-Make sure you are entering in the correct log in credentials. When the error pops up, there is a "Sign in Problem" button you can click on for further assistance.
-Make sure your computer is not infected by a virus. This has been known to cause this error.
-On Windows, Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and bring up task manager. In task manager, go to the processes tab, and in the process list look for something like yahoomessenger.exe. Highlight and click end process. Now run yahoo messenger and try to log in.

If the above does not work, uninstall yahoo messenger and reinstall.

81003002 yahoo messenger error

Here’s what you need to do in case you encountered Yahoo messenger error 81003002:
  • Double check your Yahoo ID and password. If at several times of sign in attemps but you still get the same error, restart you PC and if you are connected to a modem or router, do the same.
If you are sure that no virus has actually penetrated the system, there is no need to run a system scan.
  • While some blogs advice reinstallation of the software (of the same verision, i.e. v9) and some may even advice removal of v.9 and installation on an older Yahoo messenger version like Yahoo Messenger 8, do not waste your time as I have already done that. The older version of the IM software no longer works.
Again, if you have had error 81003002 while attempting to sign in to Yahoo, open Windows Task Manager (by pressingCLT+ALT+DEL), select Processes and find YahooMessenger.exe and click End Process. Try to do this several times but if it does not work, then try to reinstall the software. Doing this step does not guarantee that you will be able to sign in but its worth the try. The surprising thing is that when it happened to me, I removed Yahoo Messenger v9 on one of the PCs within my nextwork, the next day when my sister checked it out, she was able to sign in. It just simply fixed itself overtime. Huh?! It’s fascinating why did it happen? Could it be that our IP has been blocked by Yahoo for the entire day and restored it afterward? It’s not a virus as I’m 100% sure. It could be a bug though but I’m not certain what caused it so what I did was reinstall the instant messenger again and I was able to sign in to Yahoo messenger finally.
This is what happened and it’s something that I don’t have any technical reason to offer but I suspect that it was really a bug. Have you experienced the same scenario? What did you do?
FYI, if you are in need of using the application but was caught in a situation similar to the one discussed, you can try signing in to these alternative link or sites to get Yahoo! Messenger access.

Cannot sign in yahoo messenger

It may have 2 problems and 2 solutions:-

Firstly, this error occurs when your connection preferences are notproperly set. I'm not talking about your Yahoo! ID and Password here, but you may need to adjust certain features depending on what networkyou're on. Let's says for example, if a firewall protects your network,it may block yahoo messenger when it tries to connect to the server. You need to change your connection settings, click the Messenger menuin yahoo messenger and select Connection Preferences. Select FirewallWith No Proxies. Select your Internet Connection type from thepull-down menu at the bottom and enter your Home Country if theseoptions aren’t grayed out. Click OK and login again using the newsettings. If this option doesn’t work, click Connection Preferences inYahoo! Messenger again and select No Network Detection. Try to loginagain using the new settings. In some instances, you may need toprovide yahoo messenger with the IP address of your firewall or proxyserver (you can get this information from your network administrator orfrom your Internet service provider). Click Messenger and selectConnection Preferences again. Select Use Proxies. Enable either theHTTP Proxy or the SOCKS Proxy as needed and provide the proper address.Click OK and login again using the new settings.

Secondly, if you are using IM9 there are sign in problems. This is whatyahoo has to say.Try an updated version of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0(9.0.0.2128). This latest build includes a fix for the sign-in issuesthat have been affecting some users. If you were seeing an error code“81003005” when trying to sign in, this latest version may fix thatproblem. Even if you were experiencing a different kind of sign-inissue, I recommend installing this latest version.

Hope it can be helpful!

Error 81003002

You may be have 3 options to solve your problems:

Try this:-

1. Go to Messenger>Connection Preferences> then, you choose either connection directly to the internet or connect via a proxy server, and then choose type of internet connection>OK>Sign in again... let's try this, may be you can solve this problem. OR

2. Maybe, i think you should check your firewall settings. If you use Personal Firewall, make sure it allows your connection to receiving incoming connections and allows you to use yahoo messenger, check it out, may be it blocked your yahoo messenger. OR

3. Open your Internet Explorer>Go to File>Then, 'uncheck Work Offline', make sure your Internet connection is not working offline. Then, close Internet Explorer, try to sign in your yahoo messenger.

Good Luck!
