Sounds like your pressure screw on the back could need adjusting or look at your manual under troubleshooting it will give you the correct answer to your problem.

SOURCE: Dyna Glo Pro RMC-KFA70TDGP 70,000 BTU Torpedo heater not igniting

The main circuit board supplies ac power to the ignitor ( black transformer looking device) and the transformer increases the voltage that is supplied to the sparking device. Make sure the wires are connected to the sparking device and the ends of this device are approximately 3mm apart and that it is in the general position near the end of the nozzle. If you do not hear a "clicking" sound it could be the main board, wires or sparking device.

If...the air pump pressure is right, the ignitor glows, the fuel is hitting the ignitor, then the unit will have combustion......unless.....

  1. there is an air leak on the pressure line
  2. there is a vacuum leak on the fuel line
  3. there is a leak at the nozzle adapter
  4. there is a restriction either in the nozzle or the fuel filter
  5. the nozzle is worn and is spraying fuel rather than fogging fuel

SOURCE: I have a Hayward propane pool heater (60,000) BTU.

When the heater lights is there a hard whooshing sound? If so, then you might be experiencing a "concussion" light.....this means that the gas puddles before igniting and "explodes" when it hits the pilot flame. This concusssion will extinguish the pilot and the pilot generator will start to lose voltage until it drops below the minimum required for gas valve operation.

Hello, I have a 70,000 btu readdy heater that don't want to ignite. When I pull the top cover off the heater works fine, but the minute I put the cover back on it does not want to ignite. I'm stumped.

Does your heater have an oxygen sensor on it? If so try gently cleanig dust, lint or other debris from it . If that does't help I would replace it. I hope thishelps you. Thanks

My heater starts runs for a few min, then shuts down if i remove the top where the handle is it will run indefinatley put on the cover with no screws and it shuts down

check for cracks in plastic cap around air vent adjusters, mine did the same thing, found cracks and used glue for now, sucking too much air and sending too much fuel, runs great and doesn't smell bad anymore,

No fuel but ignitor comes on but no motor or fuel?

You must troubleshoot to see if the motor is getting 110 volts.
The problem could be the board *or* it could be the motor.
