Leaking from the stem or handle 90% of the time means all you need is a new cartridge or new O rings or seals, depending on the model of your faucet.
Phister has a warranty https://www.pfisterfaucets.com/parts-support/warranty-information
and if they are like other faucet manufacturers with a similar warranty, just take the bad part(s) to your local authorized Pfister dealer and they will exchange them over the counter. Otherwise, you can contact Pfister through their website.

SOURCE: dripping faucet

Take a cloth and lay over the top of the stem so as not to damage it. With pliers, grasp the top of the stem and turn it a quarter turn counter clockwise. The stem should lift right out.

SOURCE: I have a price Pfister Marielle kitchen faucet.

There is an o-ring around the valve body inside the outer shell. This needs replacing -- sometimes you can match these at hardware stores.

Shut water off, remove handle, pull up outer shell, you'll see the o-ring.

More info, let me know.

My pfister shower cold water faucet handle broke off. The stem is stuck so I can't replace the faucet handle. How do I remove this stuck portion of the old handle?

the model is needed for a step by step but. if your faucet is for a sink and not a shower then the handles may be connected to the pour spout or separate depending on model and in either case there is a nut screwed under the fixture that hold it in place. do not unscrew any of the faucet until you have turned of the water running to it.

How to remove stem from valve assembly

These have a lifetime warranty. Call Price Pfister for free parts.
Use your hand or a strap wrench to unscrew the handle assembly. The tower under the handle just screws to the stem down at the counter level.

Leaking faucet

Remove the handles. See if the chrome slip nuts holding the stems in are corroded. If they are, the cartridges may not be fully seated or the o -rings that seal around the cartridges may need to be replaced. If either of these is the case you can tell for sure by turning the stems to the on position with the handles removed and looking for water seeping around the cartridge. If none of the above is the cause then check to see if the aerator (screen on the spout) is loose or corroded sending a light spray back towards the faucet body that looks like a leak. If this is the case remove and clean the aerator, then reinstall it making sure not to cross thread it. If none of the above, replace the faucet. Be sure to call Delta first before replacing because they have a lifetime warranty and you just might get your faucet for free!

I have had my Delta bathroom faucet about four years. The hot water side drips. Can not get it to stop. It is one faucet with hot and cold handles with all sitting on a small platforum. The platforum is...

Go to delta website, take a picture of faucet with your cell phone and send. They should be able to identify and send you the parts. Meanwhile you'll have to turn water on and off from the emergency shut off valve under the sink. If it looks like the picture, it's probably the rubber seat and spring. If you don't want to wait go to your local "hardware" store. There may be someone there to help you. Bring the stem or cartridge, along with the rubber seat and spring. Don't use cold water while stem is removed. Turn cold off as well to prevent a mishap.

How do I, myself, fix a faucet leak?

Faucets in general operate either with a one handle valve stem or valve stems that uses small pieces of rubber to precent the water flow. In a single handle model this is usually caused by mineral deposits building up and the valve not being able to fully restrict the flow of water. The fix here is usually a new stem. On models that use a two handle system and do have replaceable valve stems one must get a repacement seat from a hadware store and reinstall the stem. In extreme cases the valve body may need to be ground internally and will require a professional. If you do not a have replaceable stems than the only alternative is a new faucet. I hope this assists you and thanks for using Fix Ya.
