IPAQ 6500 problem

While the screen goes blank, does it drop the call? Are the handsets fully charged, or are they on the charging dock whenever they are not in use?

The batteries may need to be replaced. Bad batteries can in some cases cause the phone features to not fully work. They are located in the back, bottom of the handset.

You can attach a colorful ribbon to the handle or draw a smiley face on the top with permanent marker. Another good idea is to buy a really bright colorful suitcase to pick it out of the crowd. I have this one and I can always find it.

try origional super glue..

open the device and check the componets are not shorting out, when you droped it, with that much force you may of bent the leads inside or broken, if it bent you can fix it but you broke it than it is time to buy a new one, check the power source for that switch make sure it is okay.
you may of knocked something out of alinement.

There is different proccedure for different watch to take out the back. Following are some of the proccedure to open the backcover of the watches:-
1. Some plastic watch have four screw in the back, you just have to unscrew the screws and take out the back.

2. Some of the watch have press back technology, which enables the watch to be water resistant and thus, the backcover of these watches are pressed very tight. You just need a back opener, and at the back if this back opener has to placed between the case and backcover and has to be tilted and backcover can be opened.
(Backopener is a tool which is like thick & hard blade with sharp edges like knife but not very sharp; these edges can get easily between the gap of backcover and case. - this tool can be obtained from any watch tools store easily)

i did this twice before you need some knowledge of eletronics an for the rest just common ceense .

Go to the HP.com site and get the latest firmware upgrade for your IPAQ. If you already have the latest firmware then you can probably try a hard reset which will wipe out all your files then see if it performs better from a factory reset. If it doesnt improve then theres nothing much you can do but send it to the professionals for servicing or get a new phone.

Yes , the Activesync connection is not reliable for large files. You really would be best to get a USB card reader, also it would be MUCH, MUCH faster.
