I tried to upgrade my firmware on my n95-1 phone, ( it should let it do this as the product code was checked first). it origoannly had 11.0.26 software, i downloaded all the relevent software package/ installer form Nokia. I backed up my data then started the firmware upgrade, about 90% the way through the upgrade, the installer said it lost communications with the phone, the screen is blank and now cannot be seen by any software.
I treid a soft reboot, a hard reboot and also the power on 3 key salute to the device to factory reset it.
But my phone just sits there, i beeps when i power on, the screen is blank and the slider keys light up but the numeric keypad stays dead, any suggestions?
Have you tried connecting it to a pc and using the nokia suite program if youre computer reconizes the hand set ur o.k failing u will have to reflash the set with a new program go to (www.gsmhosting.com) register and use the guides this is very good and helpfull

Hi!... Your phone needs firmware upgrade... have you tried their online support?... Go to their Site... Choose your Region then click >Get Support and Software... then on the left side look for Update your N95.. click it... Then there you will see instructions on how you will update your firmware... Hope this helps!
have you tried connecting it again to your pc? i had this problem, just reconnect it and see if your pc can recognize it as a N95 if so you should be able to reflash the firmware onto it
my bet will be to try have the firmware reflash or upgraded not to sure about the clones......but try a mobile service center and see if they can help you out.
Try to upgrade the firmware this will wipe the phones brain and reflash it, maybe an idea to unbrand it first then you can put in the Firmware of the country you need.
okay, if i were you i would try to upgrade to the latest firmware, v20 using the software updater!! apparently they have fixed loads of bugs, including the front camera!!
