SOURCE: Seat Safety straps deteriorated. Need to replace seat or straps

Infant safety seats can only guarantee protection for your baby if it is in new, original condition. Seats are vigorously tested according to National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) standards and is the only way to be certain of their effectiveness during a crash. Unfortunately, to ensure your child's safety you will need to get a new seat.

SOURCE: adjusting the shoulder straps on the Maclaren volo stroller

What year is your Volo. Different years adjust differently. The newer ones have 3 height adjustment slots and a slider that adjusts the strap itself. They do not adjust way down though and even with teh straps as tight as they will go, they are still a little loose on my 15 month old granddaughter. I have found that buy tightening the waist straps it does keep her a little more secure.

Firstwheels harness

To be honest i wouldnt bother buying the first wheels ones. They are very big and bulky should straps. I would reccomend buying some strap covers in black of ebay as they would be alot more comfortable than the first wheels. I took mine off and used some smaller mamas and papas ones. Hope that helps you

Fitting quinny footmuff

hey it took me a while to figure it out, at the top of the padded shoulder straps at the back if you feel with your fingers you will find a popper fastening you have to pull it so that it comes away then you should be able to find that the harness is attatched by a loop, take that off and then with the harness unattatched you can thread the slits of the footmuff through and then reattatch it all including the padded shoulder straps, i took mine apart today because my daughter has outgrown the comfort cushion so i took it off after realising there was a bigger seat unit undernath it i bet not alot of people know you can do this, anyhow, by adding the footmuff it makes it alot more padded and cosyier hope that helps!
