SOURCE: casette door stuck open

This mechanism was shared by a number of jvc models and works great til it stops. It has been my experience that most often the entire mechanism is cheap enough it becomes the prefered method for repair. This of course is a shop repair issue. Time is more costly than the part. Entire repair about $150.00. Good luck, magic seadog

Sorry to tell you that these players are famous for coming out of the factory with wire leads broken from their mounts.

You will have to dig into the guts of your player and find the loose wiring and resolder it in place.

If you don't feel qualified to do this perhaps you know a friend or neighbor that can. Lacking that a repair shop will fix it for you. But, you have to decide if the cost of repair outweighs the cost of replacing your portable player.

Sorry to bear this bad news to you.

SOURCE: How come I can play video tapes on my sony video

i guess you havent connected it correctly.

Run your ariel int antenna (RF) in on the video recorder.

You will need another (RF) cable that connects from RF-out on the video recorder to antenna in on the tv.

put the tv onto channel AV (or video)

tune (scan) the TV channels on your video recorder.

NOW you will be able to record the channel you see it play on TV

hope this helps!

SOURCE: Opening the CD player on a JVC UX-RC7 micro component system

Hello i had the same problem..maybe you have already fixed this but on the back you have the speakers and a pair of red and black switches, you have to put the wires into the holes on the TOP (not the sides) of the little box on the back...then once you have put the wires in flick the flaps UP :)

Sorry if you have already solved this problem but I hope it will come in use for someone.
Thanks

Hello i have a jvc rv b 90 . Ive insert the casette wrong. Now i cant open the casette deck anymore.

Hello
Casette tape can be reeled to the capstan shaft and jammed. It is a tricky way to get it out. Only an experienced service technician can do this work. If you try to pull the casette hold tray out by force, it will get broken, and will turn irreparable. OK.

Does my JVC HR-XVC33U have a disc burner or a reader only?

Greetings Lightfingers - Your unit is only capable of viewing DVDs and has no capability for burning DVD's

If you would like to burn DVDs you can buy a burner for a PC for about $20-25 USD at a place like newegg.com.

Regards and thanks for using Fix Ya.

Cassette player works fine, then screeches after 20-30 minutes.

Yeppers very common problem .. If the noise dosent come from the speakers then the problem is in the motor in the cassette deck. if the problem comes from the speakers when the deck is playing a tape, then the problem is in the record/playback switch. you may beable to fix it by spraying just a lttle bit of tuner cleaner inside the switch. It shouldnt cost much to have a repair shop do this as if you spray too much your going to ruin the belts and the mechanism. Good Luck

Put tape in new video cassette

TAKING A GOOD QUALITY TAPE FROM ONE CASETTE AND MOVE TO ANOTHER WITHOUT HARMING THE TAPE QUALITY: TAKE A NEW, GOOD CASETTE AND UNSCREW THE 5 SCREWS HOLDING THE TWO PARTS OF THE CASETTE TOGETHER. AT THIS POINT DO NOT OPEN THE CASETTE. TURN THE CASETTE UPSIDE DOWN (SO THAT THE SIDE WHERE THE SCREWS CAME OUT IS NOW SITTING DOWNWARDS ON A FLAT SURFACE) IF YOU OPEN THE CASETTE BEFORE TURNING IT UPSIDE DOWN, ALL KINDS OF SMALL PIECES WILL FALL OUT AND YOU WILL NOT KNOW WHERE THEY CAME FROM. NOW GENTLY SEPARATE THE TWO PARTS OF THE CASETTE AND PAY ATTENTION TO EXACTLY WHERE THE TAPE RUNS THROUGH VARIOUS SPINDLES, ETC. MAKE A SKETCH IF THIS WILL HELP YOU. GENTLY LIFT OUT THE TAPE AND REPLACE IT WITH THE TAPE THAT WAS IN THE BROKEN CASETTE. THIS IS ASSUMING THAT THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS TO THE CASETTE ITSELF AND NOT THE TAPE. REPLACE THE TOP PART OF THE CASETTE (WITH THE SCREW HOLDS STILL FACING DOWNWARDS). HOLDING THE TWO PIECES OF THE CASETTE TIGHTLY TOGETHER, TURN IT OVER AND REPLACE THE SCREWS. TRY NOT TO HANDLE THE TAPE ITSELF. I HAVE USED RIGHT FITTING SURGEON'S GLOVES WHILE DOING THIS, BUT REALLY DON'T KNOW IF THEY HELP, BUT THEY DO KEEP THE NATURAL OILS OF THE FINGERS OFF THE TAPE.
