If you tried a firmware updateon the drive, and it failed and the drive no longer functions, then it is time to buy a replacement. Drives are generally available on Ebay for $25 to $50

SOURCE: My O2 Atom life got dead bootloader.

I'm not using an Atom Life, so I don't have the flashing files for your device. But I think these links will help you a lot for understanding the process. First link is exactly for your device, I got it translated from russion to english by google, second is from a very good source, xda-developers. And the last one is not Atom Life but it is close so the pictures can help. You'll also need a JTAG cable. I hope this helps. (Because the only other solution than this is replacing your mainboard which will cost you around $300-$400) ( ( (

The display went blank, changing battery didn't bring it back to life. I have 2 of these watches and have successfully changed batteries before, despite the tricky process. is this watch dead?

Unless the new battery is dead that would explain it, but assuming the battery is good it indicates a failure in the electronic module and should be considered done.

Most updates fall into 2 categories: a) Firmware update. Corrects a problem(s) found in the firmware since the previous version that may provide more reliable operation, additional features, removal of features or other changes the manufacturer wants, and b) Maps update. Updates the installed maps.

In the case of "a" above, many times there is an explanation of the firmware update. Longer battery life, faster time to fix, additional bluetooth cellphone support, etc. It is best to review the list of changes to see if you want to upgrade or not.

In the case for "b", streets change, close and new ones pop up all the time. Using the latest maps will minimize the chance the you'll be sent over a road that either no longer exists, or has been rerouted to somewhere else. A map update may also rely on updated firmware (in "a") or might even automatically update firmware during the process.

Generally, updates almost always solve more problems than they create and add features rather than strip them. Map updates are nice to have - but you may need to balance the need for them with the cost of them. Not performing an update should not make the unit fail to work; unless there is something happening on a much larger scale than just your particular brand / model.

I hope this helps & good luck. Please rate my reply. Thank you.

I removed the battery while it was installing the latest update. Now only the green power light comes on and goes off after a while and my psp looks dead.

Unfortunately as your PSP was in the middle of a firmware update it will not work again. If it is under 1 year old Sony will replace it free of charge but if it is out of warranty they will charge you. If it is an older type PSP you could possibly bring it back to life with a Pandora battery and a magic memory stick. Look under the battery to see what model number it is, either a 1000, 2000 or 3000. If it is a 3000 then there is no way to bring it back to life. The other models are able to be brought back to life using the Pandora battery. Let me know what model it is and I can tell you how to do it if it can be done.

Hope this helps

BL-C131 died during firmware upgrade

Seems to be a common problem for these cameras even without doing firmware upgrade. The finnish importer Kaukomarkkinat Oy will not acknowledge it and will only sell new ones to customers complaining about this.

Get the Sansa recovery tool for your model:

Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out:
