Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer

2 Answers

I have a Frigidaire LTF2140ES3 washing machine. No matter what I select, I hear the door lock click, and then random clicking as it tries to go through the modes, but nothing happens.

Problem is, its not giving the signal like it normally would when the door isn't closed (It usually just beeped 3 times and stopped.) Whereas, when you listen and watch the control panel, it thinks its running right.

Open up the back panel. taped to the right hand wall (looking into the opening) is a tech guide that will show you how to put the washer into a diagnostic mode. very easy.

Good Morning REDS, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that your door indicates it is open and your washer will not operate. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle, confirmed the latched is securely latched and verify if the washer will start. If the washer will not operate then it possibly have a faulty door lock assembly or a communication problem with the control board. At this point, it would be advisable to contact an experienced appliance repair tech to assist further.

Frigidaire FTF2140ES0 front loading washer door will not lock

Check the part on the door that actuates the locking mechanism. It could be distorted or worn. Sometimes the lock assemblies need a tweeked adjustment. On the other hand if you don't hear a click, check the wiring.

The lights come on, select wash, washer door locks, and one by one the lights go out and door unlocks. It will not do anything

Do you hear the water inlet solenoids operate (click) after the door locks? Does water enter the machine? If not, make sure there is water pressure at the faucets where the inlet hoses connect. Good luck!

Frigidaire frontend washer LTF2140ES3 will drain not spin

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle to advance to the spin cycle. When the machine works except advancing to the spin cycle, it signifies that this auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to fix the washer.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the wires from its terminals then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.

Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

Washer door has to be held in to make it operate.

First try some WD40 on the door device (on machine). If this does not work change the door switch.
