I would take it to Home Depot or Ace Hardware and gently try to fit screws in until something fits easily. Then adjust up or down for the correct length. Should be pretty easy.

well it very well may see they rate batteries in mah normal duracells and thing are usally only 800-900 mah milli amp hours a good rechargable battery can be from 2200mah i have seen them up to 3200 mah for phones so yes a rechargable battery would last longer in the phone as they have a higher mah or in simple english longer discharge time

You have another option. Connect the GPS unit to a USB port on a computer. And please use the USB cable supplied with your unit.
