Samsung TV. Vertical color lines on screen, sound OK. Replaced t-con board. Now have vertical color lines for about 10 seconds, then picture. However, very faint vertical color lines still visible on right quarter of screen.

it's called retrace lines ,your screens are set to high or focus block assy which has the screen adjustments on it also is faulty

so did anyone every figure out what the problems with the controller is I have a TV with the white vertical lines and would rather fix it then replace it, very good with electronics but have never worked on a plasma TV before.

sir do a power reseet ,turn off the tv then unplug it from the electrical source then wait for 1 minute then plug it in and turn it on if it doesn't work call sony customer serveice at 1800 222 7669

This television, appears to have had a failure in the mainboard. This is the board that controls the video functions and sound functions. The unit should be taken or sent in to a service center for testing and servicing. The service center will have all the correct service information to determine the problem for you. more likely to be bad LCD panel (very expensive), but you can try replacing the LCD controller first (around $80~100).
