Memory stick error (for TRV33 sony cam corder)

Hi Stephanie - According to Sony the largest memory stick you can use in your camera is 32 GB with the limitation that a single video clip cannot exceed four GB in size.

Have the same problem here. Bought my TVR33 in 2003, and its still
a good cam with 1 megapixel. But since 1 month the tape won't load. I can insert any tape in the cassette, but it won't close. Without a tape it closes fine.
My only option is to send it to frsbenelux to fix it for a few hundred euros. Hoping to find a solution on the net, i will share with ya.

Go to menu & find USB stream get it on n your problem solve

Some times software get corrupted or damaged during the use. If it is the case with your cam, the computer will not recognize the device when it is connected. Try Reinstalling the software in to the lap top.

Memory Stick Pro and Pro Duo both can be used.

you need ilink or firewire cable and firewire port on your pc. the sony usb driver is just for the memory stick. check this link:

You should not format a memory stick with your computer.
Did you format the stick with your cam.You should.

Without the update your cam can take a 128mb memory stick.
Not all sticks work, it depends on the maker of the stick.
I am going to post a link for you to look at the compatibility chart
for your cam. If you look there are only two kinds recommenced.
This does not mean another one will not work,but they only stand behind the ones they recommend.

There is only one update for your cam and it has nothing to do with
the memory stick. So you should look at the list of sticks for your cam, look down the list for your model, then look down father
and there is another list, that has something for your model.
