I have a n RCA rear projection tv. It will not power up when I turn it on, all that happens is a clicking noise. I see other people have had the same problem but no one seems to get an answer for this problem. I'm hoping this is an easy fix.

that click is the power relay, but i have seen several diferent ways this can happen, is it clicking so fast it kinda resembles a buzz noise or do you just hear one loud click when you turn it on? email me [email protected].
replace the flyback 259296 and the CP150 capacitor. You can get the replacement parts with free instructions at the following link. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/
Shorted horizontial output transistor q14401 -I think- and bad flyback transformer(high voltage transformer).The noise is the power supply starting and shutting down very quickly because of the shorted transistor.Very common problem,but some of the flybacks are no longer available from RCA.Sometimes you can use generic but questionable life on some of these.
