is the j2 jumper on the backside of the display set for hg instead of he - g is gas/oil e is electric - if correct take thermostat wires off screws and turn power back on - see if burner fires up with no thermostat wires connected - old wires could be touching somewhere when put on new thermostat

SOURCE: My husband just installed the Honeywell RTH2310

need to make sure there is a jumper between RC and RH if the red wire is connected to the RC terminal the heat wont work you will need a jumper wire to tie the RC and RC together with the red wire.

Yes to everything!!
You have it figured out!!
Just make SURE that the blue unused wire cannot touch any of the other wires, it will wreck your transformer in a split second.!

Hi,
Yes you can change that by change the number of cycles per hour that your t-stat looks from for youe furnace. Lower the cycles per hour number and it will increase the range.

Just press backlithe button, and hold for 3sec. The display will change to "unit C" press on temparature buttons to change to F

The backlight is not working on my newly installed Honeywell RTH2310 thermostat.

Hello.The thermostat needs a COMMON wire.The letter C on the back of the thermostat.In the unit it runs there is a COMMON connection for that reason.I hope there is a spare wire strand to use because a lot of thermostats don't need a common to work (uses battery)but honeywell does.

RTH2310 thermostat programming issue (probably)

There should be a 7 day or a 5 day set up you amt set it up but wont show if not set up for the 7 day.Should be in the manual on how to change it. Or it will on show the program type due to the week day setting.
