I am using an Acer Aspire 5920 (32-bit.)
When I connect my Xerox 4800 scanner Vista will not find new drivers, so I have downloaded the Xerox Vister drivers plus extra's, (Utilities)follow all instructions to the letter. No good, now done this 5 times, no hair left, has anyone got these drivers to work?

Uninstall drivers and remove usb cable.
re-install drivers without usb attached.
Reboot and attach usb cable

Download Windows Installer Package 4800.32.4071218.EN.msi from Xerox. (Make sure you use the correct driver for your system) Now re-install drivers without usb attached.
Reboot and attach usb cable "working"

I am a Support Engineer with Xerox Scanners.
The Xerox 4800 do not have a supported Windows 7 driver. The scanner only supports Vista, XP, 2000, ME, and 98. I recommend trading the Xerox 4800 for a supported windows 7 scanner.
