The start component assembly goes to the three pins. You have to have this assembly. Always shipped with a new compressor.

The 2 wires go the start kit, after it's installed onto the compressor. Doesn't matter how you use the blue and white wires. Just connect them to the relay start kit, where the old ones were.

Fridge and freezer too warm

Jason, your solution was PERFECT! I got the switch and installed it and the fridge is humming along better than ever. I had read horror stories about the Tecumseh compressor and figured I was looking at having to get a new compressor or fridge. $60 for the switch and I'm in business. Thanks very much!

Compressor requires 2 or 3 or more tries to start.

If the model number is correct and you replaced the=>12555902 Start Relay with Overload along with the-> 65889-4 Run Capacitor
and still having trouble the compressor may be defective due to binding because of wear, age, factory defect or you are trying to restart too soon after the compressor last stopped. No promises of a fix but the=> URCO810_Supco_Start_Relay_3_n_1

may be useful in a worn binding hard start compressor but may last a good long while Sea Breeze

How do I replace a defrost thermostat on a Maytag MBB2256GES?

Good day,
You have to remove the rear panel in the freezer compartment. The thermostat is clipped to the top of the cooling coil. Fairly simple job.
Here is a picture of one style..

How do u access the defrost heater of the maytag mbb2256ges bottom freezer? from the rear of the fridge or remove the inner freezer panel?

Good day,
You access it from the front removing the rear panel in the freezer compartment.

Note: the heater may have failed, but has a very low failure rate.
If the machine is not defrosting, the timer and defrost thermostat ( sometimes called a limiter) are just as if not more often the problem.

Moved fridg to new house pluged it in dosen,t get coled at all!!!

If you had to lay the fridge down to move it? Then you have to let it stand upright for at least 24 hours before you can plug it in and use it or it won't cool, as oil will get into the coolant lines and foul the works.
If you didn't have to lay it down, then check for a switch and or harness under the front grill that may have got bumped out of adjustment of knocked the plug off.
I hope this helps you, and good luck.

Maytag Bottom Freezer MBB2256GES not cooling

you must change out the relay to find out if the compressor is locked , but before this is done let the compressor cool to room temp. then try again.
