You might be able to fix your player by reloading the firmware. You'll need to first determine which model of player you have. You should use the appropriate firmware download and instructions sticky thread at the top of the board to do a manual update rather than using the autoupdater, which will not overwrite your existing (and possibly corrupt) firmware if it is already the latest version. Make a note of your firmware version before and after so you can confirm that the update was successful.

HOW CAN I SYNC MUSIC TO MY SANSA E250..?

To sync music you have to first open the Rhapsody music player (If you don't have Rhapsody you have to download it fom the Sansa disk or you cannot add music). From there you can drag the songs you want from your library onto the icon in the list on the left that says "Sansa e250". On that screen there is a bar at the bottom that tells you how much space is left on your Sansa.

Hope this helps!

Sansa rhapsody mp3 player

Your Windows Media Player may need to be updated and the player may need to be formatted. Please try these steps: 1) If you do not have it installed yet, please install the latest version of WMP10. 2) Download and install the quick fix from: http://download.microsoft.com/download/7/e/0/7e055e3f-6014-43bc-b6ff-6a90ced1d032/WindowsMedia10-KB902344-x86-INTL.exe 3) Format m250 device using the Sync mode in WMP. 4) To test, transfer songs to the player using the software for your subscription music service.

Free Rhapsody downloads?

Yes you do. There is a way around the problem of having to maintain your subscription, but it gets expensive - if you buy an mp3 file from the Rhapsody Mp3 Store, it will give you the file in mp3 format, which will always work even after you let your subscription lapse. More expensive, but ultimately longer lasting.

Sansa e250 keeps saying "SYNCHRONIZE TO CONTINUE YOUR MUSIC SUBSCRIPTION"

Here's the deal with WMA files - once your subscription expires (or really,  the license on the WMA file expires) - you will have to renew your music service subscription or the song will no longer play on your device.
Use Mp3 format songs - they'll never give you this problem.

My sansa e250

hey smart ones(sarcasm) why dont u just buy the Sansa e250v2

its pretty much the same thing, just without rhapsody, thats how me and my friends are, i bought the one with rhapsody features(Sansa e250R) so i can play the songs that i bought and get free music channels for it, where my friend on the other hand has the Sansa e250v2 without rhapsody, u can still use rhapsody but u cant get free music channels for it, or u could also download best buy music manager or rhapsody and set up a free 31-day account for it to stop saying that for a while, plus if u got ur Sansa e250R from Best Buy, they can replace it, or trade u the sansa that u have with the rhapsody-free one(without rhapsody)

Sansa e250

That means you will need to transfer one track to your device from rhapsody..the songs you have from rhapsody has a license in them...the licenses get renew every month..that means if you discontinue your service, you are not going to be able to play those songs...just try to transfer one track from rhapsody to your device and that will solve your problems...

Sansa 250 - Having problems downloading music?

You could try opening the folder(s) with your saved music and highlight all the ones you want to transfer to your mp3 player and then right click on one of the highlighted files, left click on Copy, then go to My Computer > Sansa e250 mp3 player should be listed in there, double click on it, then right click in a open white area and left click Paste. It should copy the music right to your player. You could also try using Rhapsody and import your music into it. I use Rhapsody for transferring music to my e250 Sansa mp3 player.

Need file transfer Software!!!???

You do not need any specific software to transfer music. You can Drag and Drop files thru Windows XP or Vista, or use Windows Media Player 10 or higher, Rhapsody, or several other music management programs.

The only software on the CD was Rhapsody, or the Best Buy Digital Media Store. Both of which are on the internet.

Best of Luck.

Can't download to mp3

Make sure the device is in Rhapsody or MTP mode. Otherwise, the licenses will not transfer. Best of Luck.

BAD TRACK FOR EVERY SONG

Hi tooky. Getting a "Bad Track" message on the E250 may be an indication of memory corruption, music file corruption, or outdated subscription/license info. One solution would be to format your player in Windows Media Player (version 10 or 11): 1. Make sure your player is in MTP mode by navigating the menu as follows: Menu > Settings > USB Mode You would get a choice of "MTP" or "MSC". Please select "MTP". If your player is an "E250 Rhapsody series" player, select "Plays for Sure". 2. Plug your player to your PC and run Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync" tab and make sure the E250 is listed. Look for the "Format" button (it would look like a "pencil" on Windows Media Player 10) and click on it. Follow the on-screen prompt. 3. Re-load your songs by either copying/pasting your songs to the player or by using Windows Media Player's "Synchronization" feature. You could also format the player while in "MSC" or "Rhapsody" mode by browsing the player in Explorer, right-clicking the drive letter corresponding to the player, then select "Format". Follow the on-screen prompts Another solution would be to update the firmware of your player by downloading the Sansa Firmware Updater using this link from the SanDisk website (instructions are found on this site as well): For standard E250 or E250R "Rhapsody Series": http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 Make sure your player is set to MSC mode, or "Rhapsody" Mode The type of music file might also be the cause. If your music files are licensed, purchased or acquired via subscription, you may want to contact the provider for more info on how to re-download the music files. I hope this helps. There are other procedures available but these might actually make your player work normally again. Hoping for the best :)
