Vivitar ViviCam 5118 turns on but won't work

Try returning it back to Walmart, the camera maybe covered by warranty, otherwise it won't be worth fixing as it may cost more than $20.

My monitor just fell off its stand. Fortunately I caught it before it fell down. It works, but how to prevent it happening again.

You need to figure out why it wasn't balanced properly. Was it not sitting on the stand correctly? Have you attached things to it (like a screen to reduce glare) that might make it heavier on one side / front / back?

If it is definitely heavier at one side (or at the front or back), you might consider propping it up with a few large books - dictionaries are good. Or if you have a desk with a strong frame, you could attach it to the frame with a few bungee cords, stretched in various directions so that there's no single direction of force working on the monitor.

By the way, good catch! With responses like that you could become an international athlete!

SmartParts Model SPX7E has worked for several months, now the display doesn't work and just has a humming sound when I turn the power on. What's going on?

Yes, we bought 3 of these frames and NONE OF THEM DO NOT WORK! They all have a problem with the the display fading in the quality of picture. I do NOT recommend anyone buying this product.

Power just quit had a great picture

panasonic tv's suffered from frame chip problems causing them to be stuck in stand by .not an expensive part though...

Once you have the box connected with the usb cable to the computer, you have to tilt it towards connect to pc. You might have to do this a couple of times the picture on the display should change to a usb cable. Now if you go to my computer you will see where it says pan digital. Here is where you can add the pictures. I just did add pictures. If you want the pictures in a certain order you will have to name them otherwise there are displayed in alphabetical order. I found this after I loaded everything and wanted them in a specific order. Right now I am trying to add sound. I see that there is a speaker but not sure how to add sound.

Just pull it.... straight down. Too much torque may break it.

Pull the stand out about an inch, and then SLIDE it downwards, opening it up to make it longer. Be gentle- it works!

Nikon FM2n Shutter fires when winding. I have a Nikon FM2n that has developed an issue that only happens when the camera hasn't been used recently. This can be a week or just over 24hrs. The issue is when you wind the film on - the shutter will automatically fire as if it was taking a photo which will result in a wasted frame on the roll of film. I have recorded a video of this happening and it is when you have wound the lever all the way on then when the lever is on the way back after the full function of winding the film on has been completed - the shutter will fire. When you go to wind it on again, it will behave as per normal.
