I cant playback a disc that isnt scratched or dirty

It is normally the disc that either is scratched, has dust on it or is dirty.

You can clean the disc with warm water if it is dirty, that won't damage it, but don't use boiling water, that would be crossing the line.

If the game is scratched, you might check your nearest GameStop, they might have this disc fixer, or whatever they call it. They have it here in Norway, so I guess they have it most places around the world. :)

Check the disc for any visible scratches. If there are any scratches on the disc this could be causing the issue. Also make sure your disc is clean and free of any fingerprints. If there is a circular ring scratched into the disc then it's toast. Microsoft will not replace the disc for you and Activision will not either. Your best bet is to try to take it back to the store.

either dirty laser or bad laser. Trying wiping laser off with qtip and rubbing alchol. Also make sure your game isnt cracked or scratched bad.

Make sure the disc isnt severally scratched, or dirty. Your Playstation3 most likely cannot read the disc because of the following. If it is only that game then I recommend replacing the disc.

If the disc has been scratched too deep, the data layer will have been damaged and the disc is unrepairable.

Sounds like a duff (dirty or scratched) disc. Try another one.

This is a known error that effects some xbox 360 consoles.
try and keep your console on its side so the disc cant slip in the disc tray as this might cause it to scratch.
if it continues to scratch your disk you may have to send your console in for repairs.
oh ye if the game isnt working then go to a place like a dvd/ game store and ask if they clean disks mostr usually do and it fixes all but serious damage.

I don't understand why the discs would be getting scratched though.... the only thing that touches the readable surface is a laser.
Maybe the unit is just dirty. Call a local repair shop and ask how much to clean it up... I had a CD jukebox with a 600 disc changer cleaned for under $100 not long ago.
