Sansui DVD/VCR remote control issue, VCR works/DVD does not-black

Sansui DVD/VCR remote control issue. My daughter was messing around yesterday while she was watching a DVD movie on her Sansui DVD/VCR. Her knee landed on the remote control. Now, she when she plays a DVD only (playing a VCR tape is works fine)the screen is black. It looks I have the channels correct, on both the VCR and the TV. Again, the VCR tape works fine (screen is blue and runs that tape). Can you suggest what I can do to fix it? Thanks. Linda

The front of the DVD/VCR player indicates that it is on the DVD mode. The DVD will play, as in you can hear it. However, the screen is black.

There should be a DVD/VCR button on the remote control which will toggle the machine from one playback source to another. If she has pressed the VCR button then the machine will only playback tapes & not show DVD's. Press this button & the DVD's should play. If you look closely at the front window of the machine it will show what mode it is in ie VCR or DVD, set this for the DVD to get it to play.

If you are hooked up bt a scart connection, double check that is is making a good contact from both the rear of the DVD & the connection to the rear of the TV. Pull out the scart socket & re- insert it back into the connector.

Need a remote control for Sunsui RV TDC2075 A

Try to get a UNIVERSAL multi remote if you are not able to get the original from the sansui dealer. The remote can be tuned accordingly to the set as instructed. You will be able to lock each of the function of the TV/DVD/VCR as you change the mode switch. Hoope you can look around for the best type/model in your city , try the spareparts accessories shop near to your place where all the electronic spares are available. hope this works. Good day

Universal Remote

I dropped and busted my origional remote control. I bought a new one from www.newremotecontrol.com , there are many sites that sell origional remotes, so shop around. it is not a universal remote, but the actual remote for the product... a little pricy, but worth it to have all the funtions available.
