SOURCE: I live in Canada and

Hi,

To be honest with you, there is no way to get round this. In some cases (eg: Ontario), a local hydro inspection prior to purchase, or prior to use, is acceptable. The hydro inspector will affix a "hydro sticker" to the unit, which is as good as CSA approval. But it costs money - last I knew, $75 per unit inspected.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

SOURCE: No problem with unit. Is this air conditioner CSA

It's not the unit that you have to worry about for CSA or OSHA. It's how you intend to install it. You have to use the proper installation guidelines as approved by OSHA. I do know that going outside a wall or window you must have the proper bracket/frame installed outside the exterior wall to prevent it from falling on someone's head if high enough. If down low, they still have to be braced/bracketed properly to avoid injury. That's standard procedure.

You need to find out what OSHA has for safety guidelines and restrictions. Also check with your local building code office to check with their pre-set guidelines. They have to be automatically in compliance with OSHA if they intend to operate guidelines for business purposes. So Call either- or both. It's not the unit you need to worry about unless it's very old. Good Luck.

Is there a manual for an Acorn ranger wood stove

I haven't found one.... What i did was put a paint-marker line on the closed position.. Get a decent fire going with the door cracked open about 1" (5-10 min) - set both dampers to 1 full-turn open and close the door. Once it starts kicking heat (another 5 to 10 min) reduce it to 1/8 to 1/4 turn open. Seems to burn great like this. I use mine in the shop so i'll also thrown green and punky wood that I won't burn in my house in the belly of this beast and load it up at the end of the day and then close it down completely. It will burn the green / punk wood all night and will still have lots of coals after 12 hours.

About 4 years ago I had a LAARS MAX boiler installed with a Beckett burner and a Superstor water heater. All works well - except minor problem with burner needing to be reset occasionally. BUT when I...

First off they are not suppose to be installing a boiler that is not CSA approved. Your best bet is to contact Laars find out the real truth. I do know Laars was bought out by another company a few years ago, but the Installation company needs to stand by their product and be held accountable.

If unit is not request a new boiler or threaten talking to better business bureau Customers have rights. It also can be a liability to them.

Good luck let me know how it turns out
