The paper is jammed and torn off and completely stuck in the fax machine. How do I get it to release -- I have done everything the manual suggests but to no avail.

Wont print from fax memory

You may have a blocked paper sensor. Check the path the papaer would follow and located the sensors. Check them for dust or torn paper. The machine will not print until the jam error is cleared. If disconnected from power too long jobs in memory may be lost.

I have a paper jam on my very old canon fax machine...Canon Super G3. The paper is held up in the rollers and has torn...how can I release the rollers so that I can get the torn piece of paper...

To remove the paper jam, follow the procedure---
1. Open the front cover.
2. Remove the cartridge.
3. Open the face up cover and push down the green paper release levers on both sides of the face up paper output.
4. Hold sides of the jammed paper and carefully move it inward then gently pull out.
5. Remove if any paper bits present near the rollers.
6. Don?t pull the paper upwards but straight between the rollers.
Please check page#62 for details in the manual---

I have an Intellifax 2820 and there is an error message of paper jam inside... I have cleaned all paper out of machine... please help me

A jam sensor may be stuck by a paper scrap. Try manually pushing a sheet of paper through the machine IN THE DIRECTION IT IS NORMALLY FED. This may force out any stuck scraps. The jam sensors are usually located where the paper feeds and where it exits the machine. Also, make sure ALL ACCESS PANELS YOU OPENED TO CLEAR JAMS ARE CLOSED PROPERLY. Otherwise, the jam code will not clear.

Paper not feeding

If there is no paper jammed inside the machine, then look at the "paper out" roller, this is the last roller in the paper path. I would suspect it is out of alignment.

PAPER JAMMED

You have a stuck sensor.

Open the rear door and make sure there is no paper in there.

Remove your toner from the drum and make sure there are no bits of paper stuck under the toner cartridge.

l
Look inside the drum chamber for the little plastic levers that actuate the sensors. Make sure they move back and fourth freely.
