No turning of motor in my Kenwood MX270 Patissier

Follow the power, start looking wherever the power stops. Sometimes it can help to reverse phase & neutral to track where the power stops from the other side too. You are only doing this for testing purposes and need to put it back as it should be when you're done.

My Kenwood MX270 patissier doesn't work anymore. I've opened it and checked the brushes (still enough length) ; micro switch also is working. Which component on one of the two prints are suspicious?

Brushes are long enough but it there enough pressure on them to press against the armature? What about the armature? Did you use a meter to check the windings?

Sunbeam LC6200 won't turn off. Only runs at full speed unless the bowl lid is disengaged (the safety swtich still works). Have opened it up and the Pulse microswitch seems ok, as does the rotary speed/off...

OK this is the fix for the LC6200 that worked for me. Unscrew top cover (2 screws) then another screw holding internals to external case. Carefully remove safety switch lever (use long nose pliers from the top next to lever to squeeze plastic barb that holds the levers in to the plastic body). Remove all screws on the bottom. Open and undo the drive shaft pully nut clockwise. Pull out shaft and remove belt. Unscrew motor from chassis plate. From the bottom push out the plastic speed control dial with screwdriver. Remove motor and component boards. Check microswitches. Then remove diac DB3 and replace. Remove triac BT137 600v and replace. PS I used a 800v motorola MAC228 instead. Assemble in reverse. Good Luck.

Ran the self cleaning cycle on my Kithen Aid electric range and once the cycle finished the touch pad would not unlock, the oven door unlocked but none of the touch pad will work except for the the button...

This is a common problem with all self cleanig ranges. The 1200+ degree heat will sometimes leak up into the control panel and damage components. Try turning the power off first for 30 minutes and see if the control resets itself. If it doesn't have directions on the panel, then check you owners manual to see if their is a certain procedure you use to unlock your contols. If none of these work you will need to have a technician come out to diagnose your elecronic range contol or you touch pad. Good Luck Appliance Specialists

My brand new Cuisinart 14 cup food processor won't turn on. All the components are locked in place and it's plugged in. Help

First, do a motor test by removing the work bowl completely and using a pen to press in the grey button on top of the base (with the food processor turned on of course), toward the back. If the processor spins, the motor is still good. At that point, I would inspect the work bowl pieces, lid, pusher assembly, etc for cracks/damage. If all appears well, insert ALL the pieces back into place and try again. If even one piece is out of place, the processor will not spin.

If it no longer spins, the motor has a problem.

Good luck!

Cuisinart DLC- 8M

Those older Cuisinart food processors have motors that generally last forever. But a replacement bowl can cost $118.00 or more. The newer processors like the DLC-8S do have a 3-year general warranty and a 5-year motor warranty. The new DLC-2011, 2007, 2014 series etc. have 10-year motor warranties. I like the collect the oldies, but the new ones have few problems even though they are made in China. If an old processor's plastic breaks, you have to buy a completely new bowl set - if a new processor's plastic breaks, then you can buy a single component piece to solve the problem. Hope this helps.
