Question about The Kitchen Appliances - Others

Does the basket to my signature classic deep fryer sits directly on the bottom of it on top of the heat rod things ?? Bought from a garage sale I want to make sure I can use it safetly and I have all the items or if something else should be on the bottom of it..?

Im not familiar with that particular brand but all electric deep fryers use the same method of heating the coil that is surrounded by oil much like a kettle or coffee pot. So with that in mind it is normal for some brands to sit baskets directly on the elements but if in doubt dont risk your safety and purchase a new unit with instructions and warranty

Our Rival deep fryer stopped working one night...just after christmas, I figured with the holidays I would wait and contact them after... I had forgotten to until today when my husband reminded me to... So after phoning them, and speaking with Alex, I now have a free replacement cord being sent, and the deep fryer was a few days over the warranty...

That model seems pretty elusive to find a specific handle. That said, I've seen general purpose cookware handles for sale before that might be adaptable to your use, such as this one

I bought a2l elgento deep fryer at a garage sale, new and neatly packed in the box. i tried to use it but forgot it on and without oil in it, it was smoking and would not on again. what can i do?

Sounds like you have burnt it out see if there is a parts list to replace parts or just buy a new one .

Yes, that is the way it goes.... the element on the bottom and then the basket with the turkey in the basket...

Hi there:- You mean the products you put into the deep fryer stick to the basket or sunk down to the bottom and stick to the bottom basket. It can be a number of reasons but the most important is the temperature of the oil, it should be 350 degree F or more to do the frying , any temperature below that will be call boiling not frying. Secondly the batter mix ( you should try out and make your own batter mix ) Hope this can help.

first check fuse in the plug,,,if good, check that the plug is working and has power to it,,if all ok so far then you need to check the power on switch in the cooker and the thermal cut outs,, if the fryer has over heated the thermal cut out would have blowen or the heater has blowen

That is common if there is a lot of moisture, frost, or ice on the food being fried. Water can also collect at the very bottom of the fryer or in the drain pipe where it can be under 212F. If this is disturbed, the water can suddenly boil up. The oil itself will generally not boil unless heated quite a bit above normal operating temperatures. It will smoke heavily before it boils.
