Tv will not turn on . When I left the house this morning it was playing. When I returned home it was not.

I have a Gpx tv. I noticed that one remote was on top of the other I am wondering if one shorted out the TV? My light does not come on nor can I manually turn the tv on.

It is most likely the power supply. If you see domed caps change them using a higher voltage cap. If it's 1000uf at 15vdc put in a 1000uf at 25 or 35 vdc. If this helps let me know.

SOURCE: ps3 wont show up on tv

Hey i just posted i have the same problem as you do but then I checked the SONY PS3 website and it solved my problem. Try resetting your video output. I'll paste what it says on the PS3 website but if that doesn't solve your problem go to the website. They have a bunch of troubleshooting solutions for this problem...

If while manually changing the Video Output Settings, the screen remains blank for more than 30 seconds, you may need to perform the following steps to reset the Video Output Settings.

  1. Make sure the Component AV Cable is connected to the [AV MULTI-OUT] port on the back of the PLAYSTATION 3 system.
  2. Connect the other end of the Component AV Cable into the video and audio RCA jacks of the TV or display monitor.
  3. While the PLAYSTATION 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings.
  4. Turn ON the PLAYSTATION 3 and once the system finishes powering up, the Video Output Settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your TV/monitor).

When the set goes into protection BANG like that, without any intermittencies, usually the convergence ICs have gone out and need replacing. I recommend using the STK 392-180s, which are the stronger upgrade to the 392-110s used originally. You'll need 2.

SOURCE: The TV will not turn on. Has flashing orange light

It sound like you have a bad capictor on the power supply. If you take the back off your tv, you will see little round componets. These are the capictors. The tops should be completely flat. You may need to put your finger on the top to feel if they are bubbled at all. Find the one that is bubbled and replace it.

Why ask the same question 4 times, once would be significant. Contact the manufacture or if you're using a universal remote find the codes online.

Hi, I have a GPX Model TVP5 port. tv/am/fm combination. Radio plays, TV has no picture; has 10 "C" Batteries. It's portable. TV won't play. Why? what do I need to do?

Most everything is digital now. There are very few analog OTA stations left. If you do not have a analog station nearby then the t.v. will not pick anything up.

Need gpx tv universal tv code for RCA universal remote

As you have likely discovered, most universal remotes do not list GPX as a device. GPX is a low cost version of Sony devices, in most cases the Sony device codes will operate GPX devices.
I have a RCA 3 device remote that I use the Sony TV code on and it operates the GPX TV just fine.
Hope this helps out! Most people do not know GPX is the cheap versions of Sony devices.
